2024 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

the best player in Landon’s 2024 class is the LSM who committed to D3 national power Tufts. Talk about a late bloomer…

Agree with the previous poster, some kids are over hyped and some are under hyped.

What are the local teams doing for fall ball? NHSLS or any fall leagues like the NL league?

Landon picked up very good players transferring from Prep as well. Expect them to compete and be better than last spring. Defense looks very strong.

I like Landon and Bullis to battle it out for the IAC. Bullis is just loaded with 25 talent that all will be getting some strong commits this fall, probably boast the best player in the 25 class nationally. Their 24's while thin, are very strong as well. They are rarely discussed, but have quietly amassed a lot of championships the last several years. Cannot count out their coaching staff who has been there a long time.

Gonzaga is deep and talented across the field. I am a fan of their coaches. They seem like a committed group and they know the game.
I am looking forward see how much of the gap they can close with the Cadets. They have picked up some talent as well ,and I really like their 24's and 25's. Not saying it will be easy but they will be better and Cadets have some big holes to fill.

PVI loses some really strong seniors and without coach right now I don't think you can count on them to continue to progress at this point.

PVI's program is a complete mess right now... a head coach has yet to be named.

The top 4 in the area will most likely be Prep, Landon, Bullis, and Gonzaga. (in no particular order)

The Cadets have major shoes to fill.

Those two transfers from Prep had no shot of ever stepping on the field at Prep anyway. Prep is the best team in the DMV and it’s not close. They should run the table this year.

Prep is the most talented team in the area! Ask anyone at The Chop House! Or the old creepy guy on the sidelines.

Sorry, wrong thread. 2024 Tennis rankings are on a different forum..

Lots of comedy on this thread lately. I will say that until proven SJC is top team in the DMV. All teams lose players but they have the best coaching staff in the DMV. Prep, Gonzaga, Landon, Bullis, may have great years but will need to prove it. Expect SSSAS to be stronger and STA to be way down. The most surprising fall may be PVI. Just reviewed the roster on IL they graduated 9 D1 players including A, M, D, FO, G, LSM did this have anything to do with coach leaving? Was he fired? Do they have holes to fill? This should be a very competitive years in DMV HS lacrosse.

Except GP was the top team in the DMV, not your Cadets.

The final Wash Post rankings, US Lacrosse, and Inside Lacrosse all ranked GP higher than the Cadets in their year-end rankings.

What is your reasoning for why you think the Cadets were the top team in the DMV last Spring... because they dominated in the Spring of 2022?

GP will be pre-season #1 in the area next year until proven otherwise.

2021 WaPO, IL and US Lacrosse all had Prep ranked higher after the season.
What happened when they played at Geico? What happened when they played at the DC Championships without their goalie in the second half?

Until the lose a game head to head or to a common opponent SJC remains the top team in the DMV.

The idiotic SJC booster is back. 🙄 So sad.

You make it sound like Prep lost two good players to Landon. The twin brothers transferring from Prep to Landon never saw the varsity field and are only transferring because they are seeking play time. Will have no effect on Prep’s team.

I’d say you’re both idiotic. Nobody cares about this fake rivalry between SJC and Prep.
