I just moved to Georgia and the amount of blue state license plates seen recently challenges your out of touch statement.

That’s why Georgia has 2 Democratic senators.

Yes Georgia!!!

That and mules.

Not for much longer!

Georgia came though in 2020 big time. Don't count out Georgia.

I agree, used to live there and unlike in SC or AL, Georgians don't like anybody telling them how to vote or what do to, even if you are Republican. I wouldn't count them out for some Dem victories.

We are looking at Texas, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

We want to support those states that support the sanctity of life!

In all sincerity, good luck to your daughter. Taking on nursing in one of those states will require a lot of fortitude. I hope she can make a difference in the lives of those living there; they will need all the help, support, and care they can get. She will be busy!

Thanks. We don’t think she will take on nursing in one of those states permanently. They just have excellent affordable and high passing rates at their schools. Also high passing rates in NCLEX exams.

And to think of what she might have accomplished if you encouraged her to follow her dreams and become a real doctor, instead of settling for the pink collar ghetto that is nursing. Times are good for travel nurses right now, but that won’t be the case forever.

Wow just wow. The most arrogant statement I have read on here. Her dream has always been to be a nurse.

She might have had bigger dreams, if her parents didn’t kill her with low expectations. Emptying bedpans and doling out prescriptions and keeping an eye on the heart monitor is honest work and it’s necessary work, but let’s not pretend it’s the stuff dreams are made of, especially for UMC girls whose parents can afford better.

Lots of nurses in my family so I know the things of which I speak. Sorry if the truth hurts.

You are arrogant and ignorant about nursing and that is about all the response you are worth. That is the truth.

Your obstinate attitude has insulted every single nurse or parent of a nurse in this group.

We haven’t guided her expectations nor have we limited them.

May you end up in a hospital setting with zero nursing care because they know of your arrogance!

What about jury nullification? It should be part of any resistance movement. The cops can arrest and the DA prosecute but it is up to the jury. Only take one!

Hope your daughter isn't raped and become pregnant. And then the rapist will claim "paternal" rights to see the kid. Or has a miscarriage. OR a baby who will be born without a brain.

Those are terrible, tragic events. Fortunately, as described by you, pregnancy by rape and babies born without a brain are not common occurrences.

NP - but they DO happen and most of these states are going to make it impossible to obtain an abortion in those situations

Stat: babies by rape POINT 5%

What's them numbers on late term abortions?

Again, why do those numbers matter? Many states are aiming for NO exceptions. And the laws are so poorly written, doctors are afraid of lawsuits and will allow women to die when a quick operation that ends the pregnancy causing problems would have kept the woman alive.

Votes!!! Good old fashioned votes and people and public servants from both parties with some integrity willing to count them. Yes Georgia!!!!

Let's be clear -- doctors are afraid of lawsuits because if their privileges are suspended while evidence is gathered, or if their licenses are suspended or revoked, or if they are imprisoned (some of these are criminal charges), THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER DOCTOR TO REPLACE THEM. Even MORE women will die, or miscarry, or have other horrible complications.

What happens when you take a doc out of a system that has already lost half its medical providers after COVID? Many, many patients suffer. Some die.

PS: This is such a sh!tshow. It is a chamber of horrors unfolding in real time.

Ok, but let's quit making it sound like those are the primary reasons for abortions. Honesty is important.

What are these primary reasons in your estimation? Please enlighten us.

Rape and incest account for 1-1.5% of all abortions. You can figure out the other reasons. Stop making up lies lies and damn statitistics as if they are true!

WTH difference does it make? you are still condemning women in those situations just because you don't agree with OTHER people's reasons

63 million aborted babies makes a lot of difference.

Already done. Our one and only child just struck red state universities off of the list of options.

Oh shut up! You are sending our kid to a southern school for a degree should could very easily get at Community (and which would yield the same exact salary) because you really want is for her to get an Mrs., preferably with a respectable conservative male with money, and start pumping out kids. Let me guess- SAHM right? How long did you work before you found your “calling” in the home and never went back? Two years?
