Who's sending their child to school (DCPS) tomorrow?

Child is in K and she will spend the day with me tomorrow. No need to go in on a half day.

My kids are going. First, K promotion ceremony is tomorrow.

Second, it's a day of school.

DC will be going although maybe 1/3 of the class has shown up this week.

Was going to send but she can watch the second half of Ratatouille at home. No reason to sit in class and watch it.

My kid's going--I think she'll want to say good bye to her teacher, aide whom she loves, and friends (although she'll see most of them in the neighborhood over the summer).

Mine will be in school tomorrow, too. She adores her teacher (Hyde-Addison).

Because rules don't apply to you! Great modeling, mom.

She is a good mom. Our rooms are packed up and all instructional materials are packed away. There is nothing going on today. Nothing.

OP, a school day is a school day. Show your kid the discipline to follow though and end the year properly, BY GOING TO SCHOOL!

My child is going...have to bring the fried-chicken for the field day festivities. Have a drumstick, anyone???

I'm sending my kindergartener. It's a real school day (or half-day) even if they're not going to do much, and I want to signal that school is important and we attend unless there's a compelling and permissible reason not to. It's also the last time for DC to be together with classmates and teachers.

And you never, ever take a day off from work ?

I don't see the point of sending a kid to school if all they are going to do is watch movies all day, unless you need a babysitter.

It's a school day. So, school.
