I think what you write here is sane and logical. I think the reason that people like you are called haters is because of the context of the thread.

Like let’s say there is a very annoying woman at your job. She talks too much and wears very fragrant perfume and you are not a big fan. But you don’t know her that well and she’s not a murderer so you roll your eyes at her but whatever.

Then in the cafeteria a bunch of people start just railing on her, just absolutely vicious stuff. Calling her names, using pejoratives, just really over the line criticism. And they don’t stop, they go on for hours and hours. And then some other people show up and are like, dude guys you are being incredibly over the top man and hateful stop it. And then these bullies get all dramatically hurt about being called out and get into a fight with the new people. And then you walk up and are like, “I mean these jerks have a point she really wears a lot of perfume.”

Your initial dislike is fine and makes sense and is proportional to her offenses. But when you join in a mob that has clearly gone way over the edge, than you appear to co-sign the mob.

Do you go into the hilaria baldwin and gwyneth paltrow threads with the same concerns? If not then you are disingenuous. People here want absolutely no criticism of markle for any reason and consistently try to shut down any discussion.

I have expressed the same concerns on the Hilaria Baldwin thread...haven’t visited the Paltrow thread.

With Harry and Meghan there is continuous news and happenings its not just people talking about one event for years. Leaving the royal family was a big deal. Royals trying to royal in California is totally new. There is just alwyas some new angle that gets discussed. If this was a pile on about hating her wedding dress years ago that would be bizarre.

This is what grates on people probably the most. Trying to be a royal in America is an insult to Americans. The closest thing to royalty in the US is Hollywood so it actually makes sense they would land there.
Celebs and sports stars are celebs because they have a talent not because of titles and so far, I have not seen any talent out of these two besides extreme ungratefulness and greed.
They would have been better off staying working Royals, working to build a positive name for themselves with the Palace working to hide their bad behavior from view (I am sure that costs a lot of money in the free market). If they had done that things might have been different. They could have slowly extricated themselves with reputations intact.
Instead, everything is on display and behaviors they might have gotten away with are just not working under media scrutiny.

Especially when he claims to be all-in for veterans. You know, those people who have sacrificed to protect this democracy and our "bonkers" rights like the First Amendment. Shame on him. I think every person who is a veteran or knows a veteran, and even those who don't, should boycott anything to do with him and be very vocal about it after this quote.

I read this thread periodically. Not regularly. I skip pages at a time. I would frankly rather the entire BRF be retired, but I am not a UK citizen, so if they want to keep paying top tax dollars for lazy pedophile grifters, that's their problem. DP. I don't think there's a coordinated effort to defend H&M on DCUM. I think there are a couple white self-righteous posters who feel like calling other posters names improves the internet. And there are a couple other nuts that showed up a couple days ago but fortunately didn't stay long.

There are rumors swirling from blind items that these two are in trouble with one of their sponsors (not sure if it's Netflix or Spotify) but apparently they are not churning out the content they signed on to do. The naming controversy might have been an attempted olive branch to get back into the RF good graces before they lose some of their deals and we have seen that olive branch backfire spectacularly.
