This thread seems to mirror all of the anti sports threads in general. It’s fine if people don’t like him but to act like he’s some sort of barbarian is ridiculous. The guy has excelled in his field, has a gregarious and outgoing personality and is extremely driven. Who cares if he isn’t some uptight introverted artsy guy? You have no idea what he’s gotten away with. Star athletes get away with crap from high school, college and into the pros. Colleges, the NFL, super agents, the team and jock-sniffing cops cover for criminal players all the time.

True - but to me the more concerning thing about him is his seeming lack of ability (or maybe lack of caring) of how he is being perceived. He is not a kid in his teens or 20s. He is a grown man, dating the most famous popstar in the world, with endless opportunities for his post-football future in front of him. Nobody’s saying he has to become a stick in the mud, but does he even consider that the stuff he does (thinking back to his drunken antics at the parade) could jeopardize not only future opportunities, but a relationship with someone who means so much to him? Or at the very least, typecast him? As much as I love them together, this is the area that would concern me the most.

I have not seen one post about Tom Brady's drunken antics and he was married to one of the biggest supermodels at the time. He couldn't even stand up and was slurring his words, threw the trophy almost into the water, and no one batted an eye, just thought it was funny. This guy chugs ONE beer for fun at a fake graduation, and it's all pearl clutching. He goes to her shows, stone cold sober. Respectful of where he is. This was a celebration of a live show where the only folks in attendance were fans of their pod cast. It was entirely "appropriate" for him to chug one beer at that event.

I never said I was personally concerned. If I were Taylor, or anyone actually in a relationship with him, then yes I would be concerned.

He was kicked off his college team for being a screw-up and drug addict. Imagine how many chances he got before they finally said enough is enough.

The behavior is not isolated. It seems like he’s an alcoholic and/or has CTE. He seems to lack self-awareness and his behavior is bizarre and unnerving.
