I think you underestimate the Russian people’s expectations not to lose. North Korea can put a million artillery shells in Russia in a week. Probably a million rifles and 10 million rounds for those rifles to fire. Most likely at a 30-40% failure rate but who knows? I do not see an imminent collapse. I see Ukraine getting smarter, faster - and Russia hitting over 1,000,000 KIA before they stop. It may have to be higher; but Russians are (like Patton stated) more Asian than European. They do not know surrender until told it is acceptable by their “god”; in this case Putin. |
Its going to take a very long time to hit that many KIA. Russian casualties are trending downward, and August was the lowest month since the SMO started. https://en.zona.media/article/2022/05/11/casualties_eng Ukraine is probably suffering close to 10 casualties per Russian since the "Counter Offensive" started. There is grumbling come out that the "Elite" 47th alone has suffered more than a thousand KIAs since the start of the "Counter Offensive" to put things in perspective. So you're going to need a whole lot of Ukrainians to get 1,000,000 Russian KIA. In fact, there are probably not enough Ukrainians left to do that, so hopefully the Poles and Balts are less casualty averse. |
| Another (irreplaceable) S-400 missile system destroyed in Crimea today. That's another $600 million up in flames. Also means Crimea and the Black Sea are increasingly vulnerable. |
Conventionally no, Ukraine cannot kill 1m Russians with drones or artillery anytime soon. But I think Ukraine can and will find alternative ways to inflict higher casualties on Russians. Exploiting Russian food chain, water supply and larger sabotage efforts could get them there outside of direct combat engagements in a year or two. |

Uh. Poisoning water supplies is a very Russian thing to do. Nice try though Boris! Keep it up and someday you may get a little Red Star of your own!
Back to serious discussions. I don't think 1M KIA is necessary. I believe Russia is nearing the point of a crisis point, although I believe it's still about 21-22 months away, since it takes time for these things to play out. The two necessary things that need to be done before the end of the year are 1. the destruction of Crimean bridges and 2. getting within artillery range of M14/E105. From there, things will start the domino chain. The Kremlin leadership knows this and no amount of spin or threat will recover. |
Oh no you don't! Wishing harm on Russian civilians is absolutely in character with team Ukraine. Remember the shark guy? The parents that blasted on the Kerch bridge? Your people celebrated those to no end. Go back and read comments earlier in this thread. When you join team Ukraine, you join a death cult. If that makes you uncomfortable, you chose the wrong side. |

Some interesting documented war crimes (by Russia)

Even the pro-Russia gaslighting has gotten half-hearted... |

Fun find of the day, this time on the propaganda front: https://www.rt.com/news/582930-poland-media-paid-ukraine/
Looks like the US Consulate is giving grants to Poles who write favorable stories about Ukrainian refugees. Feel free to apply directly here: https://pl.usembassy.gov/education-culture/grants/ Can't wait to see the winners pop up in this thread. |
Russia literally pays for RT.com to exist. So apparently you have no problem with any of this. |
I could only read part of that….Russians are animals |
You're not going to get that sweet sweet government cheese with that writing. |
I think the real takeaway from that article is that Russian troops commit fewer crimes than DC's resident criminal class over the same time period. |
They still paying you in foodstuffs, Vlad? |
