Anybody watch this last night? I thought it was really well done, looking forward to the rest. I don't watch the Bachelor, and now I know why!! Maybe next season on UNreal they can tackle the real housewives....
|
| I recorded it. Will watch it later. |
| Oh it's so so good. I finally watched the first episode. I will definitely keep watching. |
| I love watching it after the bachelor! it makes it seem that much more crazy and fake! |
| Liked it. Will definitely keep watching. As a fan of Reality Steve, none of it was too surprising. DH, who sometimes watches the Bachelor but does not read Reality Steve kept saying, wow, maybe it's really like this? (obviously, we know it's fiction, but with a kernel of truth). |
| I am in love with this! |
| Alright, I'm adding it to my list. I forgot to record it the other night, but I just checked and lifetime is rerunning it multiple times over the next couple days. |

I can't decide if I should thank you all or cures you. That show is addictive. I watched two epis last night on-demand.
So addictive. |
| This show is great! I'm attempting to get my husband into it. |
|
I totally love this show. I don't watch Bachelor/Bachelorette, but this show is amazing!!
The first 4 shows are on Lifetime.com. I'm trying to keep myself away. I want to binge watch the next 2 shows, but then I'll have to wait even longer for the next episode. |

I am mixed on this show. I have only watched week 1.
I liked seeing how the production staff is working with the "contestants" and "suitor". I really disliked the contestants. And I think the "suitor" is neither attractive nor interesting. The ratings have not been good, which is sort of surprising. I guess the target audience is Bachelor franchise followers who are interested in a scripted version of the Bachelor. I'm guessing that people who stay away from Bachelor don't care about or have interest in UnReal. (I know PP above is an exception.) |
| I'm watching it. I watch a lot of reality shows and don't have a good handle on which parts are manipulated and which are real. |

I Love reality TV. However, the dating shows were never interesting to me which is why I originally skipped unreal. This thread made me watch it and once I saw the first, I was very, very hooked.
Husband still says it's rotting my brain but it's my brain to rot! |
I wonder how much of it is a true representation of how these shows are created. It really makes the production staff look like a bunch of horrible, conniving tricksters - to me much worse than the contestants. |

15:23 again. I think it's at least a decent representation on how these shows are created. The executive producer (Sarah Shapiro) is a former Bachelor producer.
I do think the Bachelor franchise production staff is likely fairly horrible. And likely very well compensated. They don't have to pay "the contestants", only the "lead" Bachelor/Bachelorette. Not sure about the Bachelor in Paradise... maybe nothing since there is no "prize" at the end, only a "match" or "not" |
