UNreal

I do think the Bachelor franchise production staff is likely fairly horrible. And likely very well compensated. They don't have to pay "the contestants", only the "lead" Bachelor/Bachelorette. Not sure about the Bachelor in Paradise... maybe nothing since there is no "prize" at the end, only a "match" or "not"

Do they really pay cash bonuses to the staff for setting up the contestants into their manipulated story lines?

No idea about cash bonuses for production staff, but that's a great question for Reality Steve.

I love this show! I'm really hoping that ratings stay decent enough that at least the season will finish out. I would love to see who is picked (or not picked).

I'm really hoping Rachel and the bachelor (I'm forgetting his name) don't end up together because that would be too cliche.

I think that's exactly what's going to happen.

And I also think that the executive producer, whatever her name was, is going to get pregnant by her married lover. They didn't show the scene 'with no condom' for nothing.

Yes! As soon as she said "no condom" I think everyone watching knew at that point that she was going to get pregnant. I think the writers are making it obvious that Rachel and the guy are going to get together but I want them to surprise us somehow. Maybe pair him with Faith (although highly unlikely).

Where was Faith in this week's episode?

After the first show I was "meh", but after watching the first 4 I am hooked. Rachel is a great character, and I'm willing to bet there is quite a lot of truth about reality TV shown. It's a car wreck, but pure summer junk TV!

The mother episode...OMG. it was so intense.

I have just binge watched the first 5 episodes. Its fanatastic, hilarious, gripping stuff.

I think there will be 13 eps and then...no more.

sob!

and the show just jumped the shark. I suppose I Shouldn't be surprised considering its Lifetime but I no longer have high hopes for the show.

Yes, I was disappointed in that storyline -- wasn't necessary. Still I'm hooked on this show now. It's like Entourage rolled into the Sopranos. Rachel is so watchable and so f'ed up.

What happened? Even though I found the producers' tactics fascinating, I really disliked most of the people (Quinn, whoever the "Mike Fleiss" guy is, the Suitor, and basically all the contestants), so I quit watching after episode 1. But I'll repeat: I found the producers' tactics totally fascinating and very eye-opening for Bachelor/ette.

BTW, UnReal has been renewed for Season 2.

SPOILER.

I really hope Mary isn't dead because I feel as though this whole murder-suicide-death story line is going to get played out. Very gripping though!

Love this show!

In the sneak peak for next week someone says that it could be a homicide charge. So if she's not dead she's hanging on by a thread.

I'm still really liking it, and I agree with a PP who says it really gives a ellipse of what is happening behind the scenes on these reality shows.
