Watching a documentary on the Laura Houghteling Murder from Years Ago.

Just learned that when the police heard that Hoeghteling's mother had hired Hadden Clark for gardening work, they freaked out due to his past brushes with law, the fact that he was a paranoid-schizophrenic, and was a suspect in the disappearance of Michelle Dorr in Silver Spring. And what does this Bethesda mother do? Get's MAD AT THE POLICE for suspecting Hadden Clark. And homeless advocates were calling the police department yelling at the police for accusing a homeless man.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?!?!?!

Furthermore, Her brother says "We trusted Hadden, and that trust was...misplaced". YOU THINK?!?

Her daughter had told her mother before her disappearance that there was something not right about Clark. And Clark did not like her as a result, because she wanted her mother to let him go from her employ. The family dismissed her.

Very frustrating to me. This girl did not have to die so horribly. Her family wanted so much to be 'good people' and hired a mentally-ill homeless man, and it cost them their daughter, because she was not so blindly benevolent.

Weirdly, it's called Psychic Investigators, because they called in a psychic to help solve the crime and find her. I was surprised the show covered this case because I had no idea that a psychic was called in. The police are telling the story; the ones that helped solve the crime.

Good for the police officers for keeping an open mind.

Apparently, the psychic was the one who led the officers to the bloody pillowcase that helped solve the crime. Hadden Clark's print was on the pillowcase

By the way? He would have been out before he was 65 years old. That would have been 2017, folks, so long as he followed prison rules. Aces, eh?

The did get him on the Dorr case, though and he partially cannibalized her. I don't think he's going to get out now, thank GOD

I live in Va, but I lived in MD when she was killed. I was passing by the lit where she was found not too long ago and thought of her. So sad.
As a parent, I can't imagine why you'd hire a homeless schizophrenic. I just can't.
I had no idea he killed Michelle Dorr too.

It took a while for him to confess to that one. He only showed where the body was because they allowed him to dress up in women's clothing to take them there.

They believe there are other victims in MA, as well as the DC area.

I find it very frustrating as well, that so many are blinded by the dangers of hiring people like this. Their compassion can get them killed.

Apparently, one could see his tent from the junction of 495 and I-270 back in the day. Her body was not far from there, and the location could also be seen from the highway.

You were passing by the 'lit'? Is that a typo or auto-correct? I'm interested in what you are saying!

This is a very interesting account of things:

I remember when Pryor disappeared. I was living in the next town over. I also remember the Lady of the Dunes as I frequented the Cape.

I saw this a while ago and looked up the mom and brother to see if they still live in the area. They moved out weest to Arizona, I believe and sadly the brother died very young and the mother is now deceased. It was a sad end to this family. From what I recall, the family moved to get away from this area.
