Heard a rumor today that former Deal MS principal, Melissa Kim, is interviewing for the job.
Has anyone else heard this? She would be great for Wilson. Smart and in control. I hope it's true. |
| She is? I would like to know too. Has the school been provided a list of candidates to interview? |
| OP here. Just mentioned this to my hs kid who was at Deal when MK was principal. She shrugged and said she already heard about it and kids are talking about how strict Kim is. Maybe it is true. |
| They should try to convince her to be the principal at Hardy! I have no doubt that Principal Pride is fantastic, but the name recognition might ease irrational fears of some IB parents. |
If you have to use a popular name to lure IB leave 'em be! |
Pride at Hardy + Kim at Wilson = dream team. |
| When will we know? |
| I doubt this. She has small kids and I'm not sure that's conducive to being a HS principal. |
| I have it on good authority that this is an unfounded rumor. Not going to happen. |
+1 |
| People with small kids can't be principals now? |
| Dear, Middle and High School are two different critters. Wilson will eat Kim alive. Cahill handled that place like a boss. You can talk that academics lickity split all you want but what you gonna do when the kids are running all over you? Cut the funding and allow the place to crumble. NCS, St. Albans, Sidwell, WIS, Maret, etc...thank you. |
Did she interview? why would the wilson kids talk about her as pricipal without a reason? They are not aware enough nor are they interested enough to speculate |

Here's what happened: she was actually at Deal to get measured for the statue they will be erecting in her honor. It will bronze cast and paid for by Krazies Idolize Michelle, a group of fanatical parent who believe Kim is the second coming.
After getting measured for her statue, she walked over to Starbucks and passed in front of Wilson. It was at that point that some students saw her and began speculating that she had just left a Wilson interview. |
| I see nothing has changed since I graduated high school. Rumors.... |
