Trump needs to declare a national emergency and nationalize American oil and gas fields. Companies should not be profiting off this. But of course this won't happen. |

Trump Has No Plans to End the Iran War Wall Street Journal: âTrump has said repeatedly that the war might end soon and he has already claimed victory. He is facing pressure from outside advisers to end the conflict quickly, as well as concerns from fellow Republicans facing a tough midterm election climate. Gulf allies have also expressed their frustration with Washington as Iran has attacked oil refineries, hotels and other civilian targets, piercing the narrative that Gulf nations are safe places for business within a turbulent region.â âBut Trump is âdug in,â a senior White House official said, adding the timeline being considered remains four to six weeks.â |

Watching Face the Nation right now.
Oof. The Iranian rhetoric isâŠwowza. Their foreign minister said Trump attacked Iran âjust for fun.â Referring to Iranian drone attacks on neighboring countries hitting civilian targets (plants, hotels, etc.), lying about only hitting American assets. Iranâs foreign minister when asked about safe passage of vessels through strait of Hormuz (when asked about talks with France and Italy), he said they havenât closed the passage and wouldnât confirm talks. Re: uranium enriched assets - he said they are under the rubble. Said thereâs no program/plan to recover them. Re: prior negotiations with US and giving up diluted enriched material to prove good will - He said thereâs nothing on the table nowâdepends on the future. Re: 4 Americans being held by Iran - He said if their prisons arenât attacked, âthen he guessesâ they are safe. When asked why he has internet access but the people donât, he said itâs because heâs the voice of the country and others canât have access because of the war and the safety risk. |
| Hassett said $12B has been spent so far on the three-week war (just now on Face the Nation). |

Whatâs wrong with Mark Warnerâs voice? Heâs on Face the Nation. Is he sick? Something else? RFK jr vibes.
Not sure why heâs on the show. He hasnât had any security briefings and canât answer the softball questions. |
Translation: "Everything I say has always been a lie. It's WAY more."
|
He has to earn the $5M AIPAC bribes but it's hard to answer questions when you have to constantly make up half the answers. |
12 billion sounds incredibly conservative. And there is no end of this war in sight so expect our taxes to continue funding this foolish endeavor on behalf of Israel for weeks or months to come. |

At this point there should be a separate thread for destruction in Israel.
Iran hits cities across Israel with new missiles: âOne of the fiercest daysâ https://aje.news/qapa08?update=4401301 Another wave of Iranian missile strikes. The attacks hit several locations, including the city of Tel Aviv. Despite all the talk of Iranâs military capabilities being destroyed, we are still seeing strikes coming from Iran into Israel, including [with] what appear to be new types of munitions. Sources in Israel have told me they counted 10 separate volleys of Iranian missiles from the morning until midday. This is one of the fiercest days of the confrontation since the US and Israel launched the war on Iran, and we are seeing different kinds of missiles coming from Iran. |

I guess the Israelis now know that their Iron Dome was bullshit. Maybe we're going to see a trickle of actual news out of Israel now.
Israeli mayors refuse return to normalcy during war https://aje.news/qapa08?update=4401264 The Israeli army has been trying to ease restrictions on public gatherings. In a nutshell, the mayors of many municipalities are telling the Israeli Home Front Command, which advises the country during the war, ⊠âGood luck.â âWeâre not going to obey these instructions even if you communicate them. We donât think itâs safe yet for schools to reopen. We donât feel itâs safe for 100 people to gather at any one time even if thereâs a shelter nearby.â And the reason is these [air raid] sirens keep going off, these missiles keep reaching Israeli cities. |

Arab leaders are the dumbest people alive.
Even more so than the Israelis. It's past time to choose a side. I'm sure their citizens are eagerly waiting. After Iranâs salvo hit their skylines, will Gulf states enter the war? https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2026/3/2/after-irans-salvo-hit-their-skylines-will-the-gulf-states-enter-the-war When Iranian missiles slammed into Gulf capitals and cities over the weekend, they shattered more than glass and concrete â they also were a blow to the Gulf statesâ carefully cultivated image as oases of stability, insulated from the crises and conflicts in the rest of the Middle East. Now, countries in the region face what analysts describe as an impossible choice: strike back and risk being seen as fighting alongside Israel, or remain passive while their cities burn. Yet even as smoke rose over their skylines, a chorus of regional voices urged restraint â warning that the Gulf states must not be pulled into a war they never wanted and do not consider their own. |
