If you really believe this is the most important news story of the year, you need to get a grip and get some perspective, PP.

Seriously. Some of the posters in here are obsessive. This is a horrible tragedy, but guess what- it's not the biggest story of the year, it's not the most tragic crime in local or regional history, and there is no need for newspapers to post hourly updates. The child was tortured and that's disgusting. But it happened. Wishing and hoping it didn't, and continuing to cry and Lose sleep over this is venturing into obsessive territory.[/quo

I agree it's not the biggest story, but for those of us who knew the family, it's hard not to stop thinking about.

Totally agree if you knew the family. But I think there are more than a few ppl on this forum who never met them or knew of them, and have gotten stalkerish and obsessive

+1

This is why I can't understand people who try to put a PR spin on a tragedy. In which case, they make a bad situation a big, dramatic, drawn out nightmare. Let. It. Go. This family, completely the opposite, values their privacy with good reason. I am glad people are being mature, respectful and tasteful, for the most part.

Not saying they are implicated, responsible or in any way related to the murder, but if a close relative had killed 4 people in such a horrible manner, I would -at a minimum- turn full privacy on for all my posts. It disgusts me to see them all smily and happy while another family is grieving because of what their brother/step son did. In bad taste, to say the least.

Why should they change their daily lives for something they had nothing to do with. The sister just graduated from high school, let her enjoy her moment and have fun.

I find it disturbing that you are locating these people on FB and reading their posts.

+1 I agree. The family should be left alone.

+2 His family didn't commit this crime. From what the news reports indicate, they're his victims too. Please leave them alone.

Totally agree. You really should not be commenting on or reading fb posst of a teenager that you don't know, will never know and have no real interest in. You are viewing her facebook page in the hopes of finding out something nefarious that you can report back here. You have no good intentions at all.
O
How old are you? 80? It's the age of social media. If people don't want their stuff out in the public, then hide it.

I agree with the above. The mother and brothers are criminals and raised a son that was criminal. I don't believe that they are blameless and I think it's psychopathic how they can go on with their lives after that thug committed (or even was an accessory to) such a horrific crime.

The mother is a criminal??? How can you say that without any evidence??

step mom didn't raise him and neither did sister. If We cheered the smiles of the daughter who graduated a week after her family murdered we can cheer the smiles of the family whose daughter graduated a week after her half brother or step brother (unsure) murdered a family

The father, step mothe, and half sister have had to take legal action against Wint in order to keep him out of their lives. It seems very unfair to implicate or judge them.

Well, it's already known that one of the brothers is also a criminal, so I wouldn't go as far as saying they're victims.

Forgive me if someone else already mentioned this but - worst car scenario the bank didn't not record the serial numbers on the bills wouldn't at least a few serial numbers be visible in the picture the assistant took of the cash? Could the prosecutors then match those numbers to any of the bills in wint's possession?

Circumstantial evidence is still evidence. Please stop watching bad crime tv. It is still admissible and goes to prove that the defendant committed the crime.

A couple things...that woman being referenced above is his step-mother, not his mother. We do not know who raised him or anything about what the family dynamics are like. The girl (teenager) referenced above who just graduated high school is his half-sister and the same one we learned that he threatened, which threats against her were the reason Wint's father took out a restraining order against him, apparently. I really don't see how it is fair to implicate the step-mother and half-sister, which is what the previous poster was doing.

I mean seriously. "They told me, interestingly, that he doesn't like pizza and never eats pizza".

Oh well, that settles it then. He's innocent. Thanks Robin Ficker!

If you read the article, you would see that Ficker made those statements. Not the family. Leave them alone!

Please read link above, and also check Wint's fb page where he is smiling alongside his sister. Oh, except you won't, since it's disturbing to see strangers' PUBLIC Facebook profiles. And before someone says there's nothing wrong about being pictured smiling next to your criminal brother, I agree, but I'm just trying to refute the fact that they were somehow estranged or "keeping him out of their lives".

No you're not. You're implying that they should not be left alone. I'm sure all of your family are upstanding citizens. You are being immature and obsessive. Stop canvasing Facebook for shits and giggles and comments on an anonymous message board.
