tacos vs sushi?

Anonymous
I had sushi before years ago but I didn't like it. Thinking that I might have just had a bad one years later I tried it again at a japanese restaurant but no it still didn't taste good. A lot of people can't believe I don't like sushi because so many do. Since tacos have a lot of rice in it like sushi and are finger food mostly they seem comparable but to me tacos taste better. I don't see what people see in the taste about people who are aficionados about it.

Are you stupid? because having Mexican relatives I should know a thing or 2 about mexican food! Yes you can put anything you want in your tacos and that includes rice and most mexicans do that.

Point is, why do people like sushi? Is it because it is trendy or do people really like the taste of it

Um, yea. I'm a Latina and I grew up in LA with my Mexican grandma making most of our meals. While you could technically put anything on a taco, rice is not traditional, nor is ground beef authentic Mexican taco filling. Also tacos are nothing like sushi. I agree with pp, you must be high.

People eat sushi because it is delicious. I also love that I can eat it and not feel gross full after. My kids love sushi too. I definitely don't eat it because of trend.
