OK and what if there are 8 families that want to play and they need 2 or 3 more to allow those kids to have a team to play for?   I also don't know where this 3300 number came from.   Are you trying to exaggerate everything? [/quote]

2012 and 2013s play full fields, so the roster size is more like 17+ players.

Most normal clubs plan on their number of teams before tryouts, and hire coaches. They hire 2 coaches for 2013 boys, then they hold tryouts and select the best 36 players. The rest who don't make the cut, go elsewhere, to Valor, or to rec.

Valor doesn't hire coaches before tryouts. Holds tryouts and tries to make enough teams to include every single kid who tried out. The bottom teams are half full, so they need more players.  (seriously, have you ever heard of Valor rejecting anyone?)
