I haven’t seen a photo of Sanchez so I don’t know if he is a White Hispanic, a brown (mestizo or indigenous one), or an Afro-Latino one. Anyone seen his photo?

The killer worked (it pains me to say likely still 'works') for the LAPD, but the shooting occurred in the jurisdiction of the Corona Police Dept so they will hopefully be doing an independent investigation. Wouldn't surprise me if they're still trying to spin a story.

I read somewhere (Fox news?) that the non-verbal, mentally disabled man who attacked the police officer posted perfectly coherent messages on Facebook and had, at some point, been in college studying Acctg and finance if I remember correctly.

There is a lot about this whole thing that simply does not make a great deal of sense to me.

Do you know anything about progressive neurological diseases, traumatic brain injuries, or mental illnesses that cause loss of function? I watched a friend’s DH go from a witty grad student to a 6 foot toddler after a TBI.

It might help if you could remember where you read that, because its not been part of any of the mainstream reporting and I can't even find it when I google for key terms.
