I love it. I'm sure MAGA will rush over here to tell us they support her now and that they were wrong. Right? |
|
I am a bit shocked. The casino people are persistent. Every time you think it is is final dead it rises up like a zombie.
If the next casino proposal includes a casino commission she may change her mind. |
She rejected it for the reasons she said she would not support it. I am pleasantly surprised. I expect Surovell to get busy with overriding the veto. That won't succeed. |
A casino commission would interfere with bribing the local politicians. No one wants that except the governor. |
And, the next proposal will be after the redistricting vote. |
| A bunch more bills need to be vetoed as well. |
Don't get your hopes up. Spanberger definitely thinks only federal law enforcement should be armed. |
| Needs to veto some more bad legislation to reach broken clock status of being right twice in one day. |
|
Maybe he didn't have to. Enough of us who supported Spanberger and POS Dave Marsden were disgusted by their voiced support of the casino.
She listened to the constituents of Northern Virginia |
|
Eh, she knew moderates were maybe not on board with the gerrymandering and she is trying to restore some credibility.
|
| Spanberger (is she Voldemort’s cousin? Definitely she’s a Slytherin) vetoed the bill because she wants the money that would gave been spent gambling going into her pockets via tax gimmicks and “gotcha!” fees. |
Republicans are just pathologically incapable of admitting they were wrong about something, aren't they? |
One of the most moronic posts I've read in a long time. Are you familiar at all with Tysons and the area the casino was going to go in? I live two minutes away on Rt. 7. You're a complete idiot if you don't know there are neighborhoods there, not to mention apartment buildings. Also, the comment about Youngkin vetoing it if he was still governor was a *hypothetical.* We're all well aware of term limits. And of course Earles would have vetoed it.
All of this is moot now that Spanberger FINALLY vetoed the casino - what took her so long? You must be so disappointed that you didn't get your casino. |
