The other option was worse because Miyares did not sue to defend our state from arbitrary cuts to federal funding. If he actually sue over the research funding cuts and federal job losses I think he would have won reelection, but he was more concerned about political loyalty than protecting Virginia.

White is what suffragettes wore. As the first woman elected to be the governor, it was an intentional and symbolic move. Also, I’m guessing that she has more important things to worry about than how heavy she did/didn’t look as she was about to take on the highest elected position in the state.
