A solid citizen with several allegations from underage women…lol ok.

There is ONE allegation concerning an underage girl, with corroborating witness account asserting that her father was essentially attempting to prostitute her in an effort to get his script purchased for production by Busfield’s studio connections.

Always an excuse. Lol. It was certainly ok for Busfield to allow that 16 year old girl to give him a shoulder massage while he was her teacher, right?

The boys changed their story. You realize that's a problem, right?

Why are you changing the subject? I’m talking about the shoulder massage. On what planet do you think it’s ok for a male teacher to allow a 16 year old girl to give him a shoulder massage? And how is tickling children on set when there’s a no touching rule ok? These are major red flags and should be concerning to everyone.

On what planet does a shoulder massage make the allegations true? The parent have a far more problematic past. Hopefully someone is looking into them to make sure the boys are in a safe home because none of this looks good for the boys.

I want to hear your thoughts on the shoulder massage. You clearly believe the corroborating witness who stated he saw the 16 year old girl give Busfield (her teacher at the time) a shoulder massage.

I don't see the connection between a massage and young boys. How is this related?

I definitely don’t see a connection between the parents suing an AirBnB owner for an accident that took place in their rental and the sexual abuse allegations by one of the boys.

You can ignore it but others probably won't. We know of the current landlord case and that's not the only one. You like patterns, do you see one here?

Father's Criminal History: Ronald Rodis, the father of the twin boys, pleaded guilty in 2017 to a federal charge of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. He was sentenced to 41 months in prison and ordered to pay nearly $4 million in restitution for his role in a multi-million-dollar mortgage modification scheme that defrauded over 1,500 homeowners.
Disbarment: Due to the fraud conviction, Rodis was disbarred as an attorney.

Mother's Civil Judgments: Busfield's lawyers alleged that the mother, Angele LaSalle, has "multiple civil judgments entered against her for fraudulent and dishonest behavior".

Retaliation Allegations: The defense argues that the accusations against Busfield were manufactured by the parents as revenge after their children were cut from the television show The Cleaning Lady (which Busfield produced/directed) in 2024.

Financial Motive: The defense claims the parents were seeking financial gain and were "victimized" by their own parents rather than Busfield.

The parents are not on trial. Busfield is. We have to look at his past. He clearly crossed boundaries in several different cases.

You're fooling yourself if the credibility of the accusers won't be involved.

The parents haven’t made the accusations. The children have. So far we have zero evidence that the children were coached. All we have is speculation based on the parents’ past. This often happens in cases like these to try and discredit the accusations. We do have 3 different mandated reporters that reported suspected abuse, plus the anonymous tips from the set.

We have zero evidence of anything. It's going to be an uphill battle to prove anything happened at all. Your insistence of there being a pattern of abuse is in sharp contrast to the judge who released him on his own cognizance citing his lack of criminal history and the evidence. And yes, the parents made the accusation about the abuse.

Please don’t put words in my mouth. I have not insisted there is a pattern of “abuse.” I said there was a pattern of crossing boundaries.

To me, accepting a massage from a 16 year old girl as a male teacher, tickling kids on set despite a no touching rule, and kissing a kid on the forehead are all examples of crossing boundaries. I have not once stated “abuse.” I have no idea if the accusations are true. But I do believe he crossed boundaries.

you keep accepting this massage as fact yet he hasn't been accused of it. That's a huge problem.

Wrong yet again. Busfield has been accused of this act, and that’s why we’re discussing it. It hasn’t been fully substantiated, no. He has not faced a charge for this. No one wrote otherwise.

Your style is to act as if people have made up random things and put them here. They have not. When Busfield was in hiding - that is the terminology used in broad news coverage before he surrender to arrest, after which his house was raided by a large cohort of law enforcement officers in upstate NY - entertainment sites began to comb through any available story about him. This is what has always and will always happen. This is not distinct from your repeated postings about the crimes and rumors regarding the children’s parents.

Is the discussion of these crimes in this part of the board always like this? I wasn't reading DCUM when the Glee actor was on the lam. He killed himself while evading arrest for CSA charges, and some discussion suggested that Busfield was at risk for doing the same. That’s when the recap of his life to date, as far as controversies, emerged.

None of this is specific or unusually cruel to him. Women and men accused of sex crimes are dragged the second those charges hit public awareness.

Well the parents have also been accused of being fraudsters.

They haven’t been merely accused. They have been tried and convicted of fraud.

In the father’s case, a massive fraud with hundreds of victims and millions of dollars in losses.

In the mother’s case, apparently a pattern of serial frauds.

Also, as to the refutation of the claims made by the father of the 16 year old. I read that it wasn’t merely Busfield who disputed the claims, but that another youth actor on the scene also disputed the claims, and provided all the details related to the father telegraphing his intent to make a claim against Busfield if Busfield didn’t advance his script.

Well shoot, if you read it…

I also read that Busfield forcibly put his hands down someone’s pants at the movie theater. He claimed it was consensual. He was married.

Melissa has a proven track record of having bad picker.

Wasn’t that the father’s claim after he didn’t get from Busfield what he wanted (a development deal of some kind)? The “hands down the pants” claim came AFTER the father told another youth actor that he was going to make sure his minor daughter Lolita’d Busfield to do for him what he wanted (the development stuff). Extortion scam, I guess.

That’s the same story. Pretty sure we’re referencing the same claims. And if that’s the case, we’ve already discussed why those claims are still so questionable.

Nope. The one I’m referencing is the movie theater incident. That is separate from the claim the father of the 16 year old recently made.

Please provide a link. I’m seeing a “theatre” story in the news with a 16 year old victim that appears to be the same story. Seems like the same story anyway, with the fellow youth actor adding additional claims (true or false, I have no idea) regarding the father’s financial motivation. Weird part of the story is that the 16 year old’s father is apparently a therapist, as well. Mandated reporter follow through with a SA case involving his own child? <shudder>

I’m sure you’re capable of googling it or finding out another way.

Indeed. I am. It’s the same story, which is why I was giving you an opportunity to acknowledge that you had your “facts” wrong before calling it out.

It’s not, which I’m sure you have seen by now. It’s a completely separate incident involving a 28 year old and a movie theater.

I see it in the complaint. Someone here has stated that he was married at the time of this “date” and encounter that it seems was supposedly deemed as “consensual” at the time.

But he appears to have been single from 2007 to 2013, so not married?

First he had to pay the girl from Little Big League. Then he tried to sue her lawyers for defamation and ended up having to pay them 150k

Melissa and Tim married in April, 2013, so presumably would have already been dating at the time of the complaint. They became engaged over Christmas, 2012.

Melissa and Tim married in April, 2013, so presumably would have already been dating at the time of the complaint. They became engaged over Christmas, 2012.

That’s the weirdest way to spell “I was wrong, sorry about that.” I’ve ever seen.

I’m not the one who initially stated it was when she was married. Did you apologize for saying I got the facts wrong, thinking it was the same story as the 16 year old?

It wasn’t the same story, thought, was it? I’ll wait for my apology.

You’re right.

I was wrong, sorry about that.

I appreciate that. And I was repeating information from earlier in the thread that stated they were married at the time of that movie theater complaint. But I looked it up and corrected the information with the proper dates after you or someone asked if he was single at the time.

The woman claimed Busfield plied her with alcohol before groping and attempting to have sex with her in a trailer. A second allegation was raised in March 2012, when a 28-year-old woman accused Busfield of groping her at a Los Angeles movie theater. Busfield denied both accusations, and no criminal charges against Busfield were ever filed.

I actually think there is a chance that this is a revenge situation vs. an actual legitimate case of him molesting boys.

His case bears good weight from what I have read and heard.

If the Mother of those boys made this all up over revenge then shame on her!!

I'm finding this case very interesting. In 99% of all sexual abuse allegations, I would absolutely believe the accuser(s). But this one has too many questions that need to be answered before I'm willing to make a judgement call. It'll be interesting to see what the trial brings to light.
