70% even? Come on… FVU didn’t even step into Arlington’s 18-yard box. Zero shots, while Arlington had chance after chance. The parents trying to call it a ‘close game’ just to make themselves feel better doesn’t change the fact that Arlington dominated the whole game. That’s how soccer works—if you’re in the other team’s half enough, eventually you put it away. Arlington didn’t need halftime magic—they just controlled the game start to finish. FVU needs to be worried about coaching, because talent alone isn’t winning games like that...

fvu had 2 weak SOGs… they do count however. Couldn’t get it going on the attack. It is what it is. You guys had some pretty goals one cross bar and the rest the goalies ate easily. On defense however If dominating the whole game is getting pushed/forced off the ball and kicking it out of bounds .. you got it bro!!! That didn’t look like control from the first half and part of the second. And it was quiet over there for a reason. Good game from all the girls. No need to recreate history however.

no… the hubbub is that what was expected (domination) wasn’t seen out there (mostly) until the end. FVU couldn’t go the distance but its not a knock at all. Defensively they hung on for a bit.

The rest of the posting seems to be a lot of hate to a particular coach. Probably from a club not named ASA. Will be interesting when everyone swims with the sharks in the Carolinas. I expect this thread to quiet down.

3 goals in the last 13-15 mins of the game is not a blowout …you guys were quiet and quite frankly getting out muscled. A W is a W however. Cant wait to run it back.

Two shots on goal… same story as last year, and the year before. With no real attack or tactics, it’s no wonder they still can’t score. At some point the girls will realize it’s the coaching holding them back — and that’s when more of them start leaving FVU.

Calling 3 late goals ‘not a blowout’ is pure coping. If you spend the whole game pinned in your own half with two chances, those goals at the end aren’t luck — they’re the result of getting worn down. FVU has always been a humble team. Nothing special. a 3-0 loss to Arlington is not bad. 6-0 would be the norm. I would take the result as a good progress.
