Well William has managed just fine.

Is he the spare? Meaning that despite all the restrictions he will not even be king at the end? Also, did I miss something about Kate’s background? Has she been subjected to public unapologetic racism in the press?

Not to mention, kids from any family are different. If you have more than one, do they all act, feel, and respond in lockstep?

William has and will have much, much more responsibility and scrutiny. As the heir you can support your country and still have some privacy and more autonomy. And if Harry has legit complaints about being the 2nd youngest, then his cousins can have the similar complaints about not having the same advantages as Harry since they are kids of the king's sibs and not the king. When does it end? When you are a grown up and do your duty (or not, and leave graciously.)

And yes, Kate faced her own trials with the press both before they were married and when she was dealing with cancer. The racism in the press was way way overblown just as they have way overblown their (perceived) danger from the paps.

A lot of Kate issue with the cancer was self created by how weirdly they handled it with the phony photos and other weirdness. Charles went a different route in dealing with disclosure and got different treatment.

I guess there is just some really deep seated racism, even if unconscious, in all these people who have such a knee jerk negative reaction to a black woman marrying into the British royal family and choosing her own independent path.

But hey, never mind all that! Let's get ready for the No Kings rallies this weekend!

Hi there Ms Independent path. The actual deal with Meghan is that she is a beautiful and talented biracial American woman who married into the British royal family and is living off of her husband’s name/wealth more than she is carving her independent path. Sure you can cry racial discrimination, but she is building her self as a “focus on the family” and live off of my husbands name more than she is being an independent woman. She isn’t worrying about health insurance and getting food on the table, she is worrying if her monogram has enough curls in it. That money doesn’t all come from her. She isn’t independent.

DP. But this is literally true of everyone who marries into this family and they don’t get endless hate. Like Sophie was on camera literally trying to trade on her husbands family and you never hear about that. Kate has never had a real job and her family is broke. Camilla has basically had Charles paying her bills before they were even married after her divorce. Fergie isn’t even married to Andrew anymore and still relies on him to house her. Etc. but only one of these married in bums inspires that long hate filled threads like this.

They were all hated. Camilla couldn’t go to the grocery store for years. Kate was despised while renovating. Margaret was reviled. If the royals controlled the press, this would never happen. However, the royals don’t control the press. They do control their response to it, and they learned that gray rocking works.

However, Harry and Meghan refused to gray rock. They tried to complain, explain and then blame people for things outside their control. They were like the family members who never listen. Then they loudly complained about not being heard. Constantly airing grievances is like inviting people to an argument. No, people don’t have to attend. But it’s not a strategy for likability.

The volume of hatred that Meghan received is verifiable in terms of amount and the guardian published a piece on that. It’s definitely a given that the married ins will get some negative press but to say that it’s all the same in magnitude is just factually inaccurate.

DP. And in exchange he gets control of hundreds of millions of dollars. How is this a good deal for anyone that isn’t the heir? Of course others are going to do other things to earn money.

Are you implying and/or saying that Harry is to be pitied because he hasn't been given enough money? I hope not!

Harry received tens of millions.

Then he wanted more millions for living in LA and doing absolutely nothing.

Instead of becoming his own man, he decided to get those millions by sellling out his family to the highest bidder. Who does that kind of thing?

It is hard to muster sympathy for an able bodied adult multi millionaire regularly complaining that he is not getting paid more millions for doing absolutely nothing while publicly rejecting the family, country and taxpayers paying those millions.

Her video was trashy. You don’t put that stuff out there. It was gross and shocking. Those two are absolute grifting turds.

The only reason I pay attention to them (without buying anything from them) is to continually watch the train wreck evolve. I only watched two episodes or her disaster show as well. Everything they do is tasteless and awful. The day Harry divorces her and wakes up from the nightmare that he married into will be complete jubilation.

All they do is play victim. Whine. And use their royalty to make money in the most tasteless untalented way. Ugh.

I live in hope the children will be reunited with their family, heritage and culture someday.

Lmao such drama. “Complete jubilation” on Harry’s forthcoming divorce, and “living in hope” for two kids you don’t know having their parents divorce so dad can take them back to the rich culture of balcony waving?

Phew. You guys might be waiting a long time.

I, for one, hope they stay together. Harry gave up literally everything for her…his family, royal traditions, his culture, access to palaces and homes he’s known all his life, millions of dollars in salary to just show up and wave to bring awareness to important causes. Right alongside William and Kate, they would have been jewels in the crown and adored world wide. It could have been a fairy tale for a middle class older Meghan with a diminishing acting career and no real acting credits to speak of (outside the once obscure Suits).

They literally had it all but couldn’t stomach being second string to W& K so they flounced off in a temper tantrum and then tried to destroy their own family with unsavory interviews and books spilling family secrets as a form of revenge and intimidation. They did so much wrong right out of the gate. The New York “paparazzi chase, Uvalde, allegations of bullying by staff to this day and on and on.Rejected by Hollywood as “grifters”.
And now the trashy twerking video.

I feel the saddest for Archie and Lily. They should have grown up in the royal fold with access to all of the cousins and family, culture and grandeur. They would have been as loved as the Wales kids. So much loss for those little ones because their parents are truly insane vindictive with no filter or common sense.

Harry was and still is set for life no matter what he did or does.

And nobody has a problem with them earning money if they would rather do that that be full time royals. For the 10000th time, it is the way he and Meghan have gone about it that is the issue.

You obviously didn’t live in the Fergie years. Every worldwide tabloid for months. She was hammered for her weight, for not being Diana, for being frumpy and classless, for the Fergie toe sucking. Then Diana’s squidygate, Camillagate (she was publicly reviled for decades and blamed for Di’s death) and then Waity Katie. Like Diana, Markle was unknown, beautiful and magnetic, she was loved right out of the gate. But she had too much ambition and thought Harry should be co-King. Harry was aggrieved at being the Spare and thought so too. For them, it wasn’t enough to not be top dog and curtsying to the Queen and Kate was a nonstarter so she pitched a 5 year long fit, they tried manipulation, extortion, threats and screwed it up. No going back. And in Hollywood, they are radioactive.

Any source for the “Meghan thought Harry should be king” comments that always pop up here? There’s just no way she was that delusional. But I also don’t think she faked her pregnancies. So I guess if you believe one of those things, it’s not far fetched to believe the other. (And I’m not a fan of hers, just think the hate is way outsized.)

I mean for people who can't stand Meghan, you guys sure do talk about her a lot. Thirty-two pages and almost two weeks later...
