I don’t defend everything they’ve done by a long shot. I don’t know them and neither do you. I am just mystified by people here making proclamations and analysis as if they do.

Well William has managed just fine.

Is he the spare? Meaning that despite all the restrictions he will not even be king at the end? Also, did I miss something about Kate’s background? Has she been subjected to public unapologetic racism in the press?

Not to mention, kids from any family are different. If you have more than one, do they all act, feel, and respond in lockstep?

It’s this all day. Choices. She was faking blow jobs in bit parts on “90210,” to the amusement of Andy Cohen. She dumped her first spouse and Fedexed the rings back. Meghan was not naive. This breathless honoring of her suffering as if she were a victim of Boku Haram is something else.

Hm. Michelle Obama hasn’t held up a sign to campaign for Meghan’s rightful return to Buck Palace. Is it possible that a woman who has actually experienced extensive racist coverage doesn’t buy 100% what this fake and her idiot albatross Prince are selling? How odd.

However, Once Meghan came into the fold, Harry asked Charles to split the duchy of Cornwall with him and Meghan. For centuries the duchy is only split between the King and the heir (William and one day George) to cover family and charity expenses. Harry was upset (and this is in Spare I think) that Charles said there was no money for Meghan because she spent a million (literally one mil $$$) on clothes her one and only year as a Royal. Charles said he couldn’t afford her and this enraged Harry who wanted an equal piece of the Duchy to sustain their extravagant lifestyle that he promised Meghan. In light of this, Harry apparently did float the idea of co-Kings and it fell flat because line of succession and all. They also wanted out of Nottingham Cottage (this is in Omid’s book) because it was too small there wasn’t even enough room for Meghan’s clothes. Adding Insult to Injury, Will and Kate had a 15 bedroom apartment in Kensington palace on the same grounds.

They felt slighted so asked for apartments in Windsor Castle with the Queen. She, Knowing they would never leave a castle and wanting her space as this was her primary residence, the Queen said no. So she gave them Frogmore cottage on the grounds of Windsor which was really nice upon with $3 million in renovations but not grand like a castle.

This series of events seriously pissed off the Markles,so they tried to work out a deal to get the things they wanted in the Sandringham Summit. Most of which were nonstarters (like splitting the Duchy after hundred of years) So the Queen offered to let Meghan work as an actress for income, Gave her and Harry the best patronages but they could NOT use the Royal name or HRH branding to generate income and they had to live in Britain full time.

Meghan wanted half in half out so she could live in California and return for the big fancy stuff like Ascot, the flyovers, state dinners but not the grunt work. Queen said no, you are in or out. didn’t happen, so they left for Canada. Meghan was convinced they would be billionaires outside of the shackles of the monarchy in Hollywood. She also convinced Harry of this. Honestly that TOTALLY could have happened but they played every single card handed to them wrong right out of the gate. Offputting in the sense that they smack talked royalty and their entire family, told a serious of disastrous easily disproven lies, but then clung to their titles and even declared their kids Prince and Princess on their own. It’s sort of mind boggling.

Still, back to the point, they had chances, the Queen gave them grace and a window to return to royalty and they refused instead doing Oprah, Spare, The Cut and The Netflix show and other bad calls. Then they snubbed the Queen and Philip as they died and now it seems the RF is done with them for good.

LOL I like Meghan and I think the video is cute, but I do see your point. It seems like a very robotic, rehearsed response. Also, IMO this video shows her inability to dance. His too, but that's part of what I like about it.

It’s fine to wear a white dress sometimes too. That doesn’t mean you can do it wherever you want and generate zero discussion. She doesn’t control the discussion. Neither does her husband’s family. Neither do you or I.

I think the extreme haters are ridiculous.

But to be fair, this thread was pretty much dead by June 11th, and was bumped three days later by someone saying H&M had all the charisma in the family, which brought a fresh round of back and forth.

I think their staff is definitely posting in many forums. I dip into DataLounge, Lipstick Alley, Reddit sub for MM, and British News sites, and in the last 2 weeks there is a definite change in "outsiders" opinions that usually aren't that represented, suddenly posting pro-Meghan stuff. I think it's their recently announced hiring of PR staff (and their recent quittings/firings) that is behind all of this.

The pro-Meghan - she's so funny! she's so silly! she loves her husband H! just doesn't jive with everything I've seen for the past 6 months. These places are suddenly getting this different tone that screams Meghan PR interns trying to sway internet conversations.
