Tough times are yet to come. No raise last year and probably no raise this year. Everything is going up. Should I replace my 12 year car now or wait. It cost about 3000 a year in repairs. The labor rate at dealers is ridiculous. They jacked up my property tax last year and now the county and state are talking about raising them. I don't have to buy eggs, I'll eat dogs and beans for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I only way I can get a raise is if somebody dies in the office and with my luck they may not replace the person. Yes, times are looking tough. |
Probably better to skip the dogs and have beans and rice. Learn to forage greens |
A can of black beans, small can of tomato paste, onion powder and 3 tbsp of chili powder makes an excellent meal. Serve with shredded cheese and tortilla chips.
Tough times means adapting and developing new skills. Regardless if this is all self inflicted due to narcissism and meglomania. |
My favorite NYT recipe version - make it in the cast iron skillet. Can also serve with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, sour cream, salsa as a burrito. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 5 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced ¼ cup tomato paste 1½ teaspoons smoked paprika ¼ teaspoon red-pepper flakes 1 teaspoon ground cumin 2(14-ounce) cans black beans, drained and rinsed ½ cup boiling water Kosher salt and black pepper 1½ cups grated Cheddar or Manchego cheese Step 1 Heat the oven to 475 degrees. In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high. Fry the garlic until lightly golden, about 1 minute. Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, red-pepper flakes and cumin (be careful of splattering), and fry for 30 seconds, reducing the heat as needed to prevent the garlic from burning. Step 2 Add the beans, water and generous pinches of salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top then bake until the cheese has melted, 5 to 10 minutes. If the top is not as browned as you’d like, run the skillet under the broiler for 1 or 2 minutes. Serve immediately. |
So much winning |
Trump ran his mouth about a recession and market dropped in response. MAGA |
Yeah, no thank you! |
I mean how many days are ya gonna tear beans? ROFL.
That's the dumbest thing ever posted. The correct answer is figure out how to make more money if you need more money. Instead of sitting there giving up and eating beans every day. Go figure out what may help yourself. Even if you can't, try. You have to want it enough you don't give up though. Most people can't do that so it's beans forever. |
The street is predicting increasing returns for the rest of the year (after fall this quarter). Expect a bounce back once earnings start getting reported next quarter.
It’s very hard to chase markets. By the time the change has happened it probably too late to jump in. Example. European aerospace and military stock index’s jumped 30% after being flat for 10 years. Now they are settling down again. |
I think your first sentence is a message for one. This is a correction and or the start of the trumpsession. (It's like a recession, but more orange). |
What street? I heard a couple people in the administration saying that, yesterday. But they are either insane or idiots, or both. |
Truthfully I can give up eggs and chicken. I hate Trump with a passion and I don't know how the MAGA live with themselves. Now the US has gone to sh*t and we look like even bigger fools. Thank goodness I've already had kids because in no way would I bring kids into this world now.
I don't think my adult kids will be having children and I don't blame them. |
Buy low! Be opportunistic! |
It's really something to watch an administration intentionally crash the economy |
