Ordinarily, the Senate or staffers would clearance would see this sort of information, when vetting. The House Ethics committee is not choosing between holding the report secret forever or publishing it on Twitter. They could disclose the information to the Senate or to some members of a committee or their staffers with clearance. That would be the normal and appropriate thing to do. |
NP: - if many current United States Attorneys resign after trumps inauguration, will it be because of Gaetz‘ nomination? |
Why are the painfully stupid so mouthy? |
Is this what they meant when they said 'bring pedophiles to justice?"
|
I do wonder how Q is spinning Donald Trump nominating a literal pedophile as AG. How does that fit into "the plan"? |
Good chance there are other high level republicans who partook in this and are named in the report and Johnson is protecting them. |
But, his DoD nominee—Fox host Hegsworth—WAS investigated for sexual assault in CA in 2017. So at least they will have a critical mass of predators to hang out with!!!!! SERIOUSLY, do you people not see the type of man Trump is and who he is drawn to???? |
So it's now been two days since Trump nominated a pedophile for Attorney General. There have been what, two Republican senators who have questioned it? I'm coming to the conclusion that Republicans are just fine with pedophiles. |
By two, you mean thirty. And because only two were needed to tank this one, those extra twenty-eight were just gratis. |
He's not a pedophile, right?
A statutory rapist, right? |
Which ones? I saw Collins and Markwayne Mullin. Who else? If 30 came out against him, then why hasn't Trump withdrawn yet? I think 4 will need to vote against him since Republicans will have a 53 seat majority. |
Call Democratic members of the House Ethics Committee to urge them to ensure the public sees whatever information they have.
Rep. Susan Wild (PA, Ranking Member) - 202-225-6411 Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (CA) - 202-225-2095 Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX) - 202-225-4831 Rep. Glenn Ivey (MD) - 202-225-8699 Rep. Deborah Ross (NC) - 202-225-3032 A possible script: I’m calling the Congressmember in his/her capacity as member of the House Ethics Committee. I want him/her to ensure that the public sees whatever damning information the committee has found about Matt Gaetz before any confirmation vote. Either read the report into the Congressional Record or leak it to the press. This is information Americans—and Senators preparing to vote—must have. Thank you. |
No, definitely a pedophile. |
As a progressive I’m super excited. He’s great on anti trust, believes in pardoning Snowden, great on press freedom, against forever wars and is skeptical of AIPAC. Of course he probably won’t he confirmed and even if he does he will be undermined. |
