That’s not “every single attorney in the DOJ.” As for what you’re referring to, Trump did it in 2017 himself https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_dismissal_of_U.S._attorneys |
This is the world we live in now. Idiots who believe whatever makes them feel good, led by a group of liars willing to exploit them. |
Political appointees often change with a new administration. And any president is entitled to their political appointees. The vast majority of attorneys at the DOJ are not political appointees -- they are career lawyers who will serve across multiple administrations regardless of power. The concern with Trump is that he will try to fire those civil service attorneys (as well as non-attorney staff) simply because of any association with any investigation into him or his administration. This would be unprecedented. Our federal government is filled with career workers who are just doing their jobs and Trump has threatened to fire them and fill it with "loyalists." That's creep AF and not how government usually works. |
Trumps buddy Epstein was unavailable apparently. |
In other words, you lied when you said “Biden fired every single attorney in the DOJ when he started his term.” |
Let's go! |
I am begging you - do not give them the satisfaction of being shocked or outraged. There are no surprises with a Trump presidency. Of course he picked the teenage sex trafficker troll with zero qualifications. What are we having for dinner tonight? |
US Attorney is a specific upper level confirmed poltical apppointee position. They traditionally all offer resignation letters whenever there is a new administration. |
Speaker Johnson is trying to bury the Gaetz rape/pedophelia report. WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO HIDE? |
He’s no longer a member of the House so the matter is moot and the work of the Ethics Committee is confidential. So even if he didn’t resign, the report would stay “hidden”. Furthermore, the Senate has no jurisdiction to demand the House turn over deliberative materials. |
House GOP has more leaks than a colander. This report will likely end up in the media one way or another. |
