We are a lesbian couple. My wife does it.

I'm a DW. I do the money. Have a five year budget and track all long term investments. Pay all bills. Monitor income. Assign allowances for spending money.

DH and I make joint decisions about any purchase or investment more than $500.

We both handle money related items equally.

Mostly DH, he pays the bills, manages the kids' college funds, tracks credit card purchases, etc.

DW here and I do it, though not with as much finesse as I would like since my DH is a spender. But at least we are saving these days.

Wife here! I do it all and very well. Haven't ever missed a payment and my investments are doing awesome.

me, the dw. I am a SAHM, and manage everything, including managing money. And spending it. And investing it. And figuring out and scheduling home improvements or renovations. Getting cars repaired. Everything child-related, everything social-schedule-related, home maintenance, groceries, cooking... I'm starting to think I need DH to step up on a few of these things so I can go back to school and find a job.

DH here. I do all everything money-related. If I left it up to DW, our bills, taxes, budget, and savings would be a total mess. The sad thing is DW doesn't acknowledge this contribution to the family because I do it all in the background.

Husband is an ostrich. Head in the sand. Doesn't want to know. Only complains because I think he spends to much but since it's "my job" than I should figure it all out.

Yes. I realize we have other issues.
