| I am trying to be more mindful of my eating. Nothing seems to fill my stomach. I feel like if I had some go to meals, lunches, snacks, I would be satisfied and lose some weight. Help. |
| Apple with almond butter is my go-to afternoon snack. |
| Apples, hummus and crackers, cheese sticks |

Protein
Turkey wrapped in lettuce, with hummus. A wrap without the tortilla. Shakes Cottage Cheese Quest Bars are good to keep it the car, along with snack packs of almonds. Drink more water too. |
How much almond butter? |
Just the apple is a lot healthier and a small handful of walnuts - for snacks |
| OP, do you know how to cook? I'm not trying to be snarky, but I think one of the main reason people seem hungry all the time is that they don't know how. |
| Carrots. |
Just an apple by itself for a snack makes me hungrier than when I started, pairing it wjth almond butter helps me feel satiated. |
| When I want to mindlessly munch, I eat popcorn. |
| nuts... |
|
banana
soup - any kind of broth based soup (homemade to limit sodium) carrots apples eggs |
| You need to work on decreasing your appetite. Smaller portions... Otherwise you're screwed. How much does it take to fill you up??! You are not a gas tank. Eating is for nutritional purposes, not emotional ones. It sounds like you eat wayyyyy too much. |

Cut up a million pieces of a fresh veggie you like. I go for green pepper, cucumber, celery are my favorites. I find them more filling and interesting than just plain salad. Dip in salsa if you like....
For a snack, I will eat about 1-2 cups of this- then will eat a small portion of anything else to bulk it up- a few whole grain crackers, nuts, cheese stick, hard boiled egg, Apple. I think if 2/3rds of any meal is a veggie/fruit combo, the rest can be something fun & tasty. The fresh veggies leave me feeling fuller than cooked. |
An apple isn't healthier than almond butter. A healthy diet requires a variety of nutrients, and almond butter is a healthy source of fat and protein. Whether an apple alone or with almond butter is a healthy choice at the given moment depends on what else you've eaten that day, and how hungry you are. |
