Fire in upper NW?

Those familiar with the case say the assistant that dropped off $40,000 to the home that day has been a bit inconsistent with what he says happened that day. Police say the incident was in part motivated by money.

Daron Wint, who once worked for American Iron Works, the Savopoulos family's business, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder for their deaths. Just because Wint is the only person charged doesn't mean he is the only suspect in the case, according to prosecutor Deborah Hines.

Hines told us, "Well, there had to be some connection between Wint worked there, like, 10 years ago so there has to be some connection to someone that Wint knows that's working there now that was able to give the details to know about the money and that they could get the money delivered to the house."

Things aren't looking good for the assistant..imo

Please don't post the name of an almost certainly innocent 18-year old boy whose only certain connection to this case is that he took Wint's half-sister (the one his dad got a restraining order for him to stay away from) to prom. Based solely on your supposition that he runs like the blurry video guy! There's such a (great) effort to keep the name of the assistant off of this thread, and that guy lied to police. This poor teenager has done literally nothing that we know of. Please extend him the same courtesy. Sheesh.

Would love to know the assistants name.

Look at the charging documents. Pay attention to his lies. Specifically with the red lined bag and the manila envelope. He says that the other employee gave him a manila envelope with money and he put that in the car. The w-2, said no that's not correct and showed the police the picture the assistant sent him(showing 2 bundles of cash with one with the band around it in a red lined bag). The assistant then stated he lied before and what really happened was the other employee took 4 stacks of cash from his pockets and gave them to him, the assistant put them in his red lined bag, then took them out and put them in a manila envelope in the car. Then look at the arresting paper on Wint..When they describe him they say the defendant, who was carrying a bag, sat in the rear passenger seat. The document also specifically states, the vehicle, which still contained the aforementioned bag by the defendant was transported to DC...etc. I think Wint has the assistants red lined bag. IMO

All those phone calls that morning between SS's phone and the assistant's phone could of been Wint talking to the assistant on SS's phone. IMO

Or the calls could have been SS, under duress from DDW, asking WTF happened to half of the money that SS (and his captor DDW) had been expecting. DDW was there to intercept a money drop of 40k. If only 20k appeared, DDW may have been like "You trying to double-cross me?!?!" and forcing SS to track down the missing cash. Any info released whether these calls were picked-up or simply missed calls (i.e. the assistant, guessing that SS is ringing to demand an explanation, ignored incoming calls from SS)?

Good point! The assistant lied to the police for a reason.

Has anyone seen the video of this kid. Seriously I am convinced it's the person in the person of interest video. Take a look at the video of Dw on his moms FB page. You can clearly see what his built is like and how he moves.

Wint and the sister have the same mom? I'm not finding a video on her page. Just graduation pictures.

The video is on the Moms page. She has 3 or so videos. The one of Wint is on Moms page and also on Moms page is a lot of Prom pictures. I found the prom dates page and he has a video of him dancing. I am almost convinced that he is the person running with the bucket.

Not sure if Wint and sister have the same mom but he is in the video.

Am I allowed to post his Name?

I would not. The sister seems like a great kid. I believe she is a half sister. Different mothers.

I can't believe people actually believe that block people are not as horrified and appalled by this heinous crime and that we are not desperately waiting, as everyone else, for all those involved to be caught and dealt with accordingly. This view is shocking to me. I have been in years over this little boy and his family. I don't think any black person would take offense. SMH

I agree - the idea that every law-abiding citizen isn't horrified is pretty offensive.

I hate to think the assistant knowingly provided the info to DW. However, it is quite possible they knew each other or twiiter friends. As I mentioned, my kids are friends with almost every teen in our city. I hate it.

I also found his name, video and addresses. He lived in Lantham at one time. Plus, in the town the car was found. Praying it is just a coincidence. He seemed to have a good personality. I can see SS hiring him.

Mine bark when they want to come in, and get pretty insistent if I'm not fast enough. No way would they spend 19 hours in the yard quietly. If the dog was used to being in the house, I think she would have made a lot of noise, enough that a neighbor would have done something.

Dogs have varying personalities. My dog doesn't bark, ever, unless he's physically hurt, and loves to be outside, so he'd just chill.

Maybe they drugged it or fed it a raw steak

Nobody actually made such a suggestion. Some posters appear to be replying to imaginary posts rather than actual posts. I said that the Washington Post might be limiting its coverage of this crime because it doesn't want to appear to be giving overwhelming coverage to these murders when it ignores so many other murders in the city. That in no way suggests that black people are not horrified and appalled by this crime, but rather that the Post and its readers are not necessarily horrified or even interested in the significantly larger number of murders that occur regularly in the city.

Some posters have suggested that the Post is giving adequate coverage to this crime and perhaps that is correct. But, my own experience is that I am finding more relevant and more frequent coverage from the local TV stations (via their websites). The television reporters in my experience have been more active in updating Twitter as well.

Regardless, the primary point of my earlier post was that the Post should cover other murders more.

The video that shows his "good demeanor" is also a video for self promotion to get sponsors for racing. It's not a candid video of him in real life.Imo

Let's please drop the rampant speculation of the assistant. Poster are getting pretty stalkerish here and my patience with it is running out.
