ECNL moving to school year not calendar

USYS who issued that statement is different from US Club. We have been hearing for months that leagues may implement at different times. Let’s hope a US Club statement gets leaked next.

To the folks commenting on WSSL FB post telling them that their stuff looks fake, you should really get your head checked.

What communication were you expecting when there wasn't anything to communicate? Decision makers typically don't announce decisions that haven't actually been made. Hearing gossip here isn't the same or even on a podcast is not the same as decision makers actually planning to do something.

Dude. Don’t. This thread won’t make it to 1,000 if you earnestly question.

We’re deploying appeals to ignorance, invincible evidence and denial of antecedent fallacies to this thing baby! Too the moon!

I don’t think this leak is going to force the USSF to make a statement. They don’t care about what the parents think

Right…because why take something at face value? US Club Soccer only let the rumors fester for 4 months before they posted a mush-mouthed “joint statement”, so they are the only reliable authority clearly…

Right!!!!! It was a small town LEAGUE letting their constituents know THEY aren’t going school year. These dorks went on there to interrogate the poor league.

I was hoping for the cutoff change. The ECNL podcast and imcollegesoccer twitter had me convinced.

Now, ECNL looks stupid. And weak. ECNL aligns under US Club. US Club put out their statement with the other associations that they would move in solidarity. They’re not going to now let ECNL go it alone now. And who cares if they do? MLS/GA won.

Imcollegesoccer proved to be a fraud too. Fake sources were tell them that it was a done deal. Oops.

Not sure why anyone would even want to play in US college, quality is non-existent. See for example ongoing NCAA tournament. Kickball.

Dream with me guys. So on perfect brand, they declare no change to be made. However, sometime in March when it’s basically too late, they institute the change in a secret meeting.

Yep. ECNL looks very weak. They had people go to every Forum and convince folks that this was happening.

Had Joint statements saying this was a done deal… it was all just a big let down.

All the while, GA and MLS walked light and carried a big stick.

US Club issued a joint statement with AYSO and USYS in solidarity. They’re not going to move without the rest of the associations.

I know the people hoping for the cutoff change (I’m one of you) don’t want to hear this, but this decision is being punted at least a year and probably isn’t going to happen at all. Unfortunately, much ado about nothing.

I'm no fanboy of ECNL, but there were no joint statements this was happening (just reviewed) or sending people to forums. Stop being an a$$hat.

Are you talking about the mens or womens side? Anytime you want to go try to star for Indiana, Stanford, or Clemson mens soccer - go right ahead. Let's see how your version of kickball fits into their systems.
