| What did you give and what did you receive for your last anniversary. How long have you been married? |
| 8 years, I got a fancy dinner out and flowers. I gave a Fitbit. |
|
Nothing except that we went out to dinner. With the kids.
We're not big on celebrations. |

17 years. No gifts. We never do gifts on our anniversary. Dinner, yes. Typically with the kids.
We went away for one anniversary - to a bed and breakfast. |
| I gave a monogrammed leather tie travel case and got a leather purse. That was for our 3rd anniversary. DH likes to follow the traditional gifts for the year of marriage. |
| Married almost 5 years. Our gift to each other is that we don't have to get each other gifts. Eventually we'll start going out to dinner when we don't have young kids and I can drink again. |
| We went out to dinner and stayed overnight at a hotel. It was our 11th anniversary. |
| 28 years and no gifts. This is my preference because I can buy anything I want. Own way more jewelry than I need. I still totally love him. |
| No gifts. It is in the midst of birthdays and Easter so we barely note it except for an affectionate moment. |
| DH and I plan an "us day" -- grab a quick lunch, do whatever we want (this year we needed to pick up a few wardrobe staples so we went shopping, splurged a little on the things we needed for work wardrobes), and have a nice dinner. We buy blank cards each year and write to each other. End the day by looking through our wedding photos. It's nice to just forget the rest of the world and enjoy being together. |

| dh and i take a trip out of the country for our anniversary each year. the best gift to each other. |
| 5 years and no gifts. We usually go out for dinner, but I was in the last weeks of a difficult pregnancy last year. So, instead, DH brought out my French Laundry cookbook and made the recipe of my choosing for dinner. Between ingredient sourcing, prepping, and cooking, it took him 8 hours to make dinner. Love that guy. |
| 20 years and we had our 2nd weekend alone since the children were born a few weeks before. We went to an Inn on the Northern Neck. |
+1 To be honest, we are both prone to forgetting our February anniversary. It isn't until we get a card from his parents or mine that we're like, "Oh, yeah. We should go out or something." |
