What did you get/give for your last anniversary

Nothing. We don't exchange gifts.

I love this. The true meaning of love, is giving something thought and creativity; handmade, if you are lucky. I know people who use anniversaries (and probably birthdays or any other holiday) as an excuse for an expensive present. Ew.

just bc something was expensive does not mean it lacks love, thought or creativity.

5 nights in Mexico for our 15th. We take a trip every 5 years. No kids.

We would have planned something - but we both forgot our last anniversary (oops).

8 years. We might have gone out for dinner, I really can't remember. We were moving into our new house the next day so we weren't doing anything crazy.

+1

Us too. We travel without kids 1-2 times a year but unrelated to our anniversary.

now THAT's a gift. I will remember to instruct (yes instruct) husband to purchase one for our 10th - which is next year - whoo hoo!

We always go out to dinner with the kids. When DD was around 4 she overheard us making dinner plans and said "where are we going for the anniversary?"

So we let her choose where we should go for "the anniversary" and we celebrated our anniversary at Rio Grande LOL.

We're not big on celebrations so ever since then 'the anniversary' consists of the 4 of us going out to eat. However now that the kids are older we go somewhere nice.

35th in three weeks. Heard my wife saying how much she wanted to see the Redwood Forest NP. Surprised her on Valentine's day with our plane tickets.
We generally alternate destinations. Last year, we did Normandy, which was a bucket list item for me.

This past anniversary was our first after baby. Took DD to grandma's, ordered take out, had some good wine and house to ourselves. It was awesome.
