Plea deals are common, certainty of outcome and cost savings are benefits.

Out curiosity… what happens in situations like that with the house?
Wife is dead, husband in jail for good… Does it stay there waiting for the daughter to be 21? Who takes care of it ?

Of course but only if it’s somehow in the child’s best interest. Hard to weigh school continuity against staying in the house where the child’s father murdered the child’s mother.

The judge had granted television coverage of the trial, will that hold for the hearing. If not live at least video?
