The fact that people are insisting on bringing it up, means that they have nothing else.

Anyway, attention is now being paid to the fact that Jamiy Heath is a person of color. This ran under the radar for a long time because the focus was on Justin and even if you go back a couple of weeks ago, most people who were debating this case, thought that all the incidents were about Justin. I think this Jenny Slate complaint, being that it’s about Heath, has bought him more into the light and now the internet is starting to pick up on the fact that these two white women repeatedly made fairly stereotypical complaints about him.

I’d like to learn more about Jenny’s complaint, but it seems like his sanctity of motherhood comment just made her uncomfortable. Would love to know why. Did something just seem off? HMMMM.

And I don’t think it’s going to look good for Blake that she is giving into the oversexed stereotype. He just couldn’t tear his eyes away from her in that trailer! He just couldn’t keep from showing me p*rn on set! I’m really wondering why her team went that route, I think they probably just wanted to get the number of complaints up and thought it was all going to be focused on Justin and people weren’t going to take this deep a look. And, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that most of her team is white and they just not thinking about this. I think the next few weeks they’re going to be going on quite a journey here.

The sanctity of motherhood comments either on their own or collectively with other actions made her uncomfortable enough that she went to Sony and complained.

So far I don't think there is any indication his race is at play. The complaints are about all 3 executives of Wayfarer and mostly aimed at Jamey and Justin who were on set. People of any race can do wrong and so far I don't see anything that makes it seem that becase he is biracial she has complained about him any differently than Justin.

I respect your opinion but do not buy it. There is a lot of racial stuff at play here. When you are a POC, you see it right away. That’s how once I saw JH’s pic yesterday, it all made sense.

Another POC did a tik tok that I viewed just now and she summed it up perfectly.

The reality is that BL’s allegations take on a totally different context when you factor in JB and JH as being POC.

Glad JB saved receipts.

Justin is not a POC and Heath is biracial. I don’t believe Blake’s accusations but alleging that racism was also at play here is incorrect. Blake would have found a way to accuse a white woman director of some crime, Blake gets what Blake wants, regardless of color.

Nah, it’s racism alright. There is a TikTok video that sort of paints the narrative a bit better.

But I do agree with you, BL would have schemed differently had it been a white woman. But nonetheless, she would have played a different game.

She’s power hungry and it’s amazing to me that TS could not see this, or she did and was okay with it because they are peas in a pod.

The end of my discussion on this. BL has nothing. There are women out there, without power who have been seriously harassed and even worse, that SH claims are used to protect. Nothing so far even comes close to adding up to the legal definition of SH. Not even close.

It’s sad and rather despicable to finally get was this has all been all about.

It is impossible to take you seriously with comments like the bolded. Do you even hear yourself? You sound insane.

Not insane in the slightest. Tiktok sleuths were partly responsible for Freedman amending his lawsuit with new allegations coming to light about the NYT metadata. They were also allegedly the ones Blake’s team leaked the 3 HR complaints to because the news media refused to cover them out of litigious fear.

Metadata which turned out to be wrong and there was no leak of 3 HR complaints! You really shouldn't rely on Tik Tok for accurate information.

But you are on an anonymous mommy board expecting us to take your opinion seriously? I guess I don’t understand the difference.

I don’t have TikTok, but I have been listening to podcasts, and the podcasters read from the lawsuits and then have narrative about it. Many of them also have lawyers on to talk about the legal aspects, one that I listened to had an intimacy coordinator in the industry talk about the standards there which I found interesting. Many of these same people are taking excerpts from these discussions and putting them on TikTok or on Instagram reels. I really don’t see the big deal or why it is insane.

The judge is not going to decide the case based on TikTok so I think we are good.

I think it's possible the THR reporter is not describing the interaction accurately. This is such a weird round about way of describing it without actually saying whatever it is he said to Slate. I agree it's hard to imagine what he could say about the sanctity of motherhood that would give rise to an HR complaint. Since it doesn't make sense at all, I will assume that I have not been given enough info about it to understand. Instead of just assuming "ladies be crazy! she must be racist!"

Whose HR would this be? I thought Sony said they didn't receive any complaints.

No one knows. Lively's complaint alleges that Wayfarer didn't have a formal HR department at all, and that when she tried to contact Sonny they said that as the distribution studio, they couldn't accept HR complaints from the set, which belonged to Wayfarer.

Other people have mentioned that as members of SAF-AFTRA, Slate and Lively could have registered complaints with their union, which I think is true. And I think that generally when a business (or in this case production) is union-sanctioned, which I would bet this movie was, there needs to be a designated union rep, whether that's someone on the set or just someone at SAG who is the union rep for the production. It would be interesting to know if any complaints were filed with the union and what happened with them. If a complaint was very alarming (i.e. put a worker in physical danger or involved a violent assault), I think SAG would withdraw their union approval of the production and could shut down production. So like imagine a situation where an actor went to SAG and said they were being asked to do stunts without a coordinator or proper safety precautions and that someone had already been hurt or feared they'd be injured or killed. I think SAG would probably get the production shut down in that instance.

But the complaints on this production weren't like that -- no one was in danger, most of it was kind of small interpersonal stuff that could have been a misunderstanding or might just have been someone being tone deaf. Certainly the Slate complaint (if it was made to SAG) wouldn't result in dramatic action by the union, maybe just communication between the union and the production and request to address the behavior or for Heath to apologize.

The only allegations that I think would have prompted stronger action by the union were the ones associated with the birth scene. SAG would treat a director/producer pressuring an actor to do nudity very seriously, even if ultimately the actor was not fully nude in the scene. SAG has guidelines that are explicitly about nudity in production and insist that actors be given at least 48 hours warning before a proposed nude scene and would view any form of coercion to do onscreen nudity (simulated or actual) as a potential violation of union contracts. This is actually a big deal with the union because there is a long history of coerced nudity on sets.

But again, no one knows if any union complaints were filed. But given that Sony claimed they had no supervisory authority over the production, and Wayfarer may not have had a formal HR complaint process, I am wondering if Slate's complaint or any of Lively's were routed through SAG. I'll note that SAG issued a statement in support of Lively when her complaint first came out in December.

Wayfarer does have an HR director but I haven't seen her name mentioned in anything. You would think she would have been involved in the on set meetings related to the behavioral complaints.

Serious allegations are supposed to be sent to SAG because they are an
unbiased third-party and they launch an investigation. That was not done here.

I think you can’t see what many of us can see. That’s why I said that without even seeing the delivery scene, that I bet the doctor guy BL had complained about was a POC.

I just saw the scene online. I was right.

All I can say is that I have experience with a lot of what I’ve stated. I interact with a lot of people. I knew nothing about BL but looked at this case legally and could not connect her argument. Again, a nothingburger assuming you looked at it one way which is how I did, thinking that JH was white.

Once I saw that pic, it all made sense.

Let’s see if the JS details come to light. But so far, legally and in the court of public opinion, just not seeing the SH.

As for the TikTok video, it was actually pretty decent and informative. And I think perhaps the third tik tok video that I’ve ever watched. It’s on Reddit.

You seem to have a very broad definition of person of color. How exactly are Justin Baldoni and Adam Monschein POC?

There is a pic and discussion on Reddit. You can go to the thread of look up the info. JB is like a lot of LA guys that are cool and can fit in with many types of people.

Some people are surprised that in Blake’s 114 page amendment there is still mention of HR complaints but no evidence. Not an email even with a ton of redacted info. Not a text from the costars saying well I just filed the complaint let’s see what happens. Nothing.

Sony made it clear they could not take HR complaints as they were not the production company. I am sure there were many complexities with filing an HR complaint with Wayfarer given it was their executive who were the subject of the complaints. The Wayfarer HR director is also from Justin's Ba'hai church. A lot of conflicts of interests and who knows if they would even take a complaint about their founders and CEOs.

We know their racial backgrounds so please explain how they are POC? Is it Italians or Jews you believe are POC?

If Justin is a POC so is Jenny Slate.

They’re trying to paint a pattern of uncomfortable behavior blah blah blah, but when the rest of the evidence is so scant that falls apart too.

You have no proof the metadata was wrong. There has yet to be an investigation, hence the reason it's called an "allegation". It will be brought up in court and the NYT will have to prove their defense.

We can absolutely rely on TikTok because we have access to critical data and sources connected to the film. Not to mention the behind the scene footage captured by street fans that will inevitably be brought up in court that shows Blake literally directing Baldoni on how to kiss and hold her. That doesn't substantiate someone who was a shrinking violet who couldn't voice her concerns when alleged sexually harassed.

Where did Sony make this claim?

We keep saying no one knows, but if such a complaint were made, why would blakes team have not produced it at this point? Don’t you think that would’ve been more of a smoking gun that they would want us to see? Even if an investigation launched, and was inconclusive, the fact that ann investigation was launched would be huge for her case.

It’s the same thing with the Astroturfing. Not one shred of evidence of meta data has been shared - their approach to that is simply to share bad comments made on the internet. They literally had a bunch of comment, slamming Blake in her new movie a simple favor coming out from February 2025 as if that were Justin’s fault. But they have no proof that those were generated by astroturfing. There is not one shred of evidence of meta data and there’s been not one mention of hiring an Internet forensics team which would be step one in determining if it were taking place.

I’m stunned that her amended complaint did not have any of these details or even a mention that any of this was coming.

I’ve had it with “we just don’t knows.” It’s bern 6 months at least that they’ve been building a case. We just don’t know justin Baldoni didn’t brutally murder someone on that set. I’ve not seen any evidence that he hasn’t? I guess we’ll have to wait until the trial.

Once you distill Blake and Ryan’s smoke and mirrors, PR, and bluster from their team you realize they have…absolutely nothing. Because this whole thing is fake and they never planned for the victim to actually fight back. Their goose is cooked. I love it. It’s rare that such evil shysters get knocked down a peg.

Baldoni's family is multi generational American Italians and New York Jews. Jenny actually is 1/4 Cuban!

According to SAGs website, SAG does not investigate. Actors can have their lawyers lodge an official complaint with SAG. SAG has a team who reviews the complaint to see if it aligns with their policies. SAG then sends the complaint along with the policy on harrassment and discrimination to the production company and it is the responsiblity of the production company to investigate and report back to SAG.
