I don't see anything wrong with it but I started dating DH when I was 22 and he was 30. Been together for 27 yrs now. Like to point out to DH that I've spent my entire adult life with him

Kind of odd but not unheard of -- it's only a 6 yr age difference. If he was 32 and she was 26, would that be a big deal -- I'm thinking no. I wonder why a 20 yr old with a campus full of guys her age is attracted to a 26 yr old -- though who knows maybe she works and has a social life separate and apart from campus or maybe she's over the whole college hook up and frat party scene and wants a real boyfriend to go on real dates with -- not group dating followed up hooks which is what college males tend to do.

Not weird, they're both young.

PP here. It would be weirder with an older woman/younger guy because young women at 20 are more mature then young men of the same age.

We used to call that robbing the cradle. It may be normal for a man to date a younger woman but I can't for the life of me see dating a younger man unless I have the Mama needs to mother complex.

I prefer an older more mature man. Not one like is talked about on here.

There's really only one word for a guy like that...

I don't think it's an age thing that bothers me. More it's the "totally different stages of life" thing.

OP here. Thats really what I was referencing in initial post. I'd understand a 32 year old dating a 26 year old. The woman would still be younger but in a similar life stage. This however...

Yeah the life stage thing makes it an interesting choice at best- It must be weird being over 25 and dating someone who can't legally drink in a bar.

I agree. Plus that is a huge age difference for the college student. I

I'm a 27 year old woman who is dating a 21 year old dude. But yeah, it's a bit weird for me. He can be very immature, which I guess is not surprising, but can still be hard to deal with.

When I was a college student, 19-21, most the men I dated were about 26/27
