One of my best friends is 29 dating a 22 year old. At least he's drinking age, some of the previous guys weren't. I think it gives her a sense of confidence to be admired and in a sense looked up to. She never got that kind of attention from guys our own age. More power to her, I say!

I dated older because college boys were immature and didn't have any money. I'd rather spend my weekends going to upscale restaurants, drinking in public without getting carded, hanging out in houses and lofts I couldn't afford, talk about literature and politics, etc. Keg stands, mixers, and the same guys all my friends had already hooked up with are only so much fun.

IDK. I went to a rich kid school so it wasn't an issue for me.

My first date with my college BF, who was in my year and social chair for his frat, he took me to Nobu, and had a pledge chauffeur us in his Range Rover. So yeah, I was never really forced into dating olds. Thank goodness.

I had boyfriends who were in college and also dated older men. My friends called it my "hobby" boyfriends: example, I loved early 20th century art and dated a well known international art dealer. I was an economics major and dated a financier. College boys have things to offer but so do older men
