No. Japanese people who were personally mistreated by the government have received reparations. While reparations might have been part of the original plan following the Civil War, it didn't happen. It is not time now.

There are other actions that work. We've done them. We can continue some and return others, as well as add additional actions. If we have the will. Instead we're stuck on fantasy and impossibilities.

There were some people on TV last week when Biden spoke about what happened in Tulsa who lived through being put in internment camps, losing everything they own after being bombed by the US government. They are still living and what type compensation have they received? Do you think losing everything effects what type of legacy they can leave to their family?

The Tulsa massacre was not a federal matter. Are you thinking of something else?

Well why did the President just admit that the federal government dropped bombs there?

Here goes the ignorance. Biden said they used planes to drop bombs over the neighborhood and forced the Blacks into internment camps guarded be the national guard.
Are you telling me the national guard is independent of the federal government?

No no no. He or she is telling you, “I’m white and I say so”.

The planes were private.

The National Guard did arrive at the end of the riot/massacre and was involved in establishing peace, including by attacking some Black people. The promised reconstruction was a failure and never really materialized.

We don't have to make up facts. The Tulsa massacre was terrible. Stick to the facts of what happened.

So much whining and wallowing in assorted grievances. It will never get you ahead or substitute for actual hard work of your own.

The prior poster is talking white supremacist talk. The hard work of The descendants of slaves is what built this country.

I guess the white supremacists have peace when Blacks are in internment camps.

that would take a constitutional amendment- do you think 3/4ths of states are voting to allow reparations?

I was thinking more along the lines of free job training, parenting help, scholarships.

Well of course reparations are due from all the money that was stolen from Black people

How do you decide who gets help? There’s blacks from all parts of this world here in the US, how do you decide which ones were affected?

Is it "white supremacists"? I thought the language of CRT is oppressors and colonizers. You're behind.
