I'll make you a deal- I'll be just as polite and non-judgmental about her as she is about other people on her tv show. She smells like weed and patchouli ring any bells for you? |
Nothing to be skeptical about. Of course it's not a coincidence. She's on tv even more than usual now and trying to tell everyone she doesn't have an eating disorder so naturally people are talking about it. |
From one former anorexic, guliana is clearly not being honest with herself. She has an eating disorder and does not look good. She needs to seek help and stop making excuses all the time for her thinness. She is right that certain other people in the news are as skinny but they too are unhealthy looking and are overdoing their diets. Please guliana stop pretending and face the truth. You are an anorexic. |
Can someone please explain to me what patchouli oil i supposed to connote? I have no idea why that is "a thing" and why it is racist!! |
It seems like Guiliana has lied about her comment being written by someone else and thus edited some parts.
First Kelly Osbourne stated that this was not true, now George K. the original Male commenter on the show is backing up Kelly's statement. It seems as if the whole "someone else wrote the joke" was just a cover up so Guiliana wouldn't be so hated. And the whole lie that E!News/Fashion Police edited her comments is all untrue as well. I believe Kelly and George. They both said no one writes jokes for anyone on that show. That being said, I do not think G has an eating disorder. She is taking cancer medication and those types of meds make you skinny. Also, she and Bill Rancic lost their last viable embryo on New Year's Eve when their surrogate had a miscarriage. I am sure that fact, her health issues and the most recent accusations make her very stressed. I do not think she is racist. She works alongside a black man daily for God's sake. People need to make sure they know the true definition of a racist. It's so easy to just toss the word around and glue it on anyone. |
My understanding of the weed comment is that it's racist because for many black people, dreadlocks are the natural state of their hair when left alone. So perhaps it's offensive to say a black person with dreads is the equivalent of a stoned hippy. It probably makes them feel like white people just have no clue... I didn't. My friend had to explain it to me, because I also associated dreads with the white hippy culture. I don't think white hippies would care if you made that joke, just like blondes don't care much about dumb blonde jokes. But blacks have a different history in this country and we should def try to understand all points of view. Someone correct me if I'm getting this all wrong. |
I would say my projection (as a white person) is that white people with dreads who wear pathoouli typically love to smoke pot, and/or at least want to give the impression that they are Rastas/Hippies/Dr. bronners washing, tempeh eating, hacky sack, festival loving hippies. Black people with dreads doesn't automatically make them potheads. It's just a nice look that doesn't involve chemicals or weaves, but it is a cultivated look. People don't just get a set of dreads spontaneously. They have to twisted and maintained to make them even, and keep them pretty- they can get natty, smell like mildew, and break. Rastafarians that identify as such: I assume are smoking a lot of pot as this is part of their religon. Regarding Guiliana, she is a hot mess. She probably realizes she is not a beauty queen- so focuses on having a "hot fashionable body". I guess on the upside, she does look better than Tori Spelling. |
Please. There are a ton of writers on all shows. It kind of pisses me off because they make so much money for writing crap. Just a quick look at IMDB and here's a list of the writers for Fashion Police. If they weren't writing jokes/dialogue, what were they doing? Series Writing Credits Eli Braden ... Obviously not scientific, but as soon as I googled her medicine name and weight, "weight gain" was the most common complaint about the drug. |
Weight gain is the most common symptom. Does not mean that weight LOSS can not also be a symptom. |
When you have a retrieval they retrieve as many as they can. Immediately after the retrieval she went into cancer treatment, assumedly radiation, which means you cannot use your own eggs to get pregnant again. |
Right, but it's not like she had this healthy diet and attitude toward food and then got on these meds and dropped weight. It was clear from her show and other comments (that infamous blog post) that she has/had a very restrictive diet with very little fat. I mean, watering down the milk with your cereal is a classic ED behavior. There's a reason why so many people on this thread who are recovered/have struggled with eating disorders say it's obvious that's what's going on. It's not projection, it's just a knowledge of how an ED starts, what the thought processes/behaviors are early on, what it looks like, how it progresses and how much deflection goes on in protecting it the more severe it gets. She wants us to believe that she is eating tons of food yet has dropped what looks to be I would guess around 20 pounds since the earlier posted photos where she was thin but healthy. People defending her want to totally ignore the neurotic food behaviors and act like the meds makes sense. |
They had a cake on ENews last year for someone's birthday, and all the other hosts were eating it. Guiliana put some on her fork and then just waved it around, never eating. You'd think with all the rumors she'd make a point of eating in front of people, but it's not something you ever see. At least I haven't. |
Which is exactly what she wants everyone to believe. |
Are you all this angry with people in real life who have illnesses? Yes, I agree, she's clearly ill. But I don't blame her and get angry at her. I do blame E! for keeping it going. But she's just another woman who succumbed to the pressures of Hollywood and all the bullshit that comes with it. I don't know too many anorexics who come to the conclusion that they have a problem all that easily. |
