You have a link that shows this?

Does a researcher and nurse at the vrc who verbally told me they sped up the study count?

Stop spreading disinformation based on hearsay. This is stupid. Of course timelines were accelerated. But the trials were double-blinded and placebo-contolled. It's all in the public record. You can see the study designs yourself in ClinicalTrials.gov.

And while you're looking at the Pfizer one, note that the vaccine group had more total deaths than the control.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Also this, from an article in Fortune:

"...He has pushed for tighter regulations around the ingredients in foods.

With the Trump campaign, he worked to shore up support among young mothers in particular, with his message of making food healthier in the U.S., promising to model regulations imposed in Europe. In a nod to Trump’s original campaign slogan, he named the effort “Make America Healthy Again.”

It remains unclear how that will square with Trump’s history of deregulation of big industries, including food. Trump pushed for fewer inspections of the meat industry, for example."

Clown show. All of it.

You realize this was published in NEJM, and this is not true. See the supplementary tables. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2034577#supplementary-materials

It's so funny how conservatives now talk about "more regulations" and being "more like Europe."

I'm old enough to remember the Bush-Cheney era when conservatives sneered at liberals for their affinities for things European.

I mean I already eat a good diet - but I hope people are prepared for how expensive food is going to get without fertilizer, preservatives, and pesticides.

Factory farming is an abomination in every way and if Brain Worm Jr can put an end to it I guess I'll take a few more measles deaths for that. Guess what gets more expensive without factory farming? Yeah, meat. As a vegetarian that's fine with me, of course.

Anyway!

And I should add- although there were more deaths in the placebo group, it did not come close to reaching statistical significance.

Not only is RFK Jr an absolute loon, he's also a downright evil bastard. What he did to his ex-wife, Mary, with the help of family court is horrendous. Most people do not know that story. And then what he did in the immediate aftermath and in the years after he drove her to suicide and the court battle with her family over her body... He is a disgusting, disgusting human being.

Yeah, and luckily he didn't get picked!

But also that was for the EPA - which would have made sense at the time - and it was before he killed those people in American Samoa. It was also before a number of other things.

The following statement by RFK Junior should be enough to disqualify him from heading the HHS. Don’t want to hear any excuses for him. He said it and he meant it.

“There is NO vaccine that is safe and effective.”

If there’s a medical reason to not do them, great. But many doctors are so judgmental.

Goddamn those scientists and doctors who know more about science and medicine than me! The Google and WebMD told me about how to treat my condition, therefore I know more than them.

Yes, stick it to all those “experts”

Experts are still people at the end of the day. They have biases, blindspots, and many are not nearly as intelligent as you might hope. Many are simply closed off to new information, hence the quote: "A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it ..."

Then you have to factor in institutional capture and self interest...

Experts haven't exactly been covering themselves in glory of late. Why should we defer to them when it’s so easy to poke holes in their orthodoxy?

Experts have been doing just fine. The frequency of people disagreeing with them on the basis of no evidence has increased, though. This is because a certain person repeatedly sought to benefit himself politically by telling everyone not to trust those experts.

Trump told people to ignore all COVID safety measures so he wouldn’t be stuck with a bad economy in October 2020. Now his voters think they shouldn’t trust the vaccines that make you safer from COVID. It’s that simple.

The reason you all think ivermectin is a miracle cure for COVID is, again, because Trump wanted a way to keep people from staying inside so the economy didn’t sputter. Now you all take horse dewormer for the disease you also claim isn’t a big deal but was created by the Chinese military and Anthony Fauci.

But it’s the experts’ fault you don’t trust basic science.

Let's keep in mind that during Covid we shut down schools, churches, parks and gyms but kept liquor stores open on the recommendations of experts. That's just the tip of the iceberg of Covid absurdities from the experts btw.

So you have nothing to refute the argument that Donald Trump purposefully sowed mistrust of public health expertise for political gain.

Ever heard of Great Barrington declaration? These were scientists and researchers and leaders in the field as well, they just happened to disagree with the mainstream narrative on Covid measures. It's not Trump magically sowing discord in your imagined universe where every expert or educated person in the field unanimously agreed with the "science" and especially "changing science" to focus more on social engineering than on actual mitigation and treatments of whatever was going on.

I have yet to find myself in a situation where I can say something like this, I have always wanted to. It’s definitely a bucket list item for me.

Exactly.
Increase healthcare access, decrease work hours (encourage an hour break during work for exercise time), drastically improve funding for school lunches so they can provide quality foods, teach cooking in schools so people have that skill, and that can go a long way in improving health.

+1

When I was in school, we had lunch ladies who actually cooked the food. Most of it anyway. Why was that done away with?!

Also we (all students) had Home Economics in high school- which involved teaching about cooking, meal planning, budgeting etc. It was either for a semester or a full year not sure. Why was that gotten rid of?

Not saying either of things are perfect either- but a vast improvement to what is occurring now.

You would have to staff more cafeteria staff for longer hours and higher food costs than the prepackaged we have now.

There is nothing wrong with more staff working 8 hour days, and I think food costs to quality would be a wash. What you need is to pay top dollar to higher a head chef to run the kitchens efficiently and effectively (good food!) and you only need 1 at each school.

Well, let’s see how Elon and Vivek price this out.

Assuming he gets cofirmed (a BIG if IMHO), he will be bad for the healthcare institutions of this country.

I don't think he's getting confirmed and think Trump thinks this too. He's just going through the motions to satisfy the deal for his dropping out of the race and get rid of his crazy ass.

Even if he doesn't get confirmed which I doubt, the train of mandatory no questions asked vaccination era is over. Trust is eroded and not coming back just like this. And those of you who think ultra conservative pro-lifers trying to block his appointment will help you get return to ridiculousness of "pubic health measures" like mandatory masks and experimental shots think again. They are rabid anti-vaxxers even worse than RFK. Instead try to temporarily rejoice that he is a pro-choice candidate on all things related to personal bodily autonomy and health. Your best bet is to align yourself with those who want to pick and choose vaccines by choice and not signing up for the top down cattle vaccination and ridiculous masking.
