So glad that this and the later start times aren't happening, I'm not against them per se but find these posts super annoying. |
It will sooner rather than later. Homeschool is always an option. |
Why don’t you homeschool? |
They can call 911. |
Ohh so witty! We’re not the ones who insist on having all students distracted during classes with cellphones just we can text our kids during lunch. School and education is actually important to our family. We value this above texting mommy all day long bc she hasn’t cut the cord yet. Your poor kids. |
Person who can’t handle being not being in contact with their kids 24/7 wants other grownups who can… to homeschool. So much sense! |
If there is a gun in the school or an active shooter, you won't be able to get your child anyway. The school will be locked down. This argument is ridiculous. |
911 needs one call Not 500 |
LOL. As if you could get close to the school, or even be allowed to pick your kid up, while a shooting was going on. |
Admin to teachers:
"We have a cell phone policy, but we are not enforcing it. It's too much work for us." Also Admin: "You are not engaging your students enough. They are on their phones instead of participating." Also Admin: "Grades are down. Have you told students to put phones away? Have you built a relationship? Have you called home about phone use?" |
I was thinking the same thing. Some parents are just dumb. It is all about managing their own anxiety |
Do you send your middle or high school kids with phones? Plans change. How do they let you know or they don’t as you don’t and will not pick them up so it’s not an issue. |
There are no pay phones or phones accessible to kids. |
You missed the point. Not shocking. Pay phones are not necessary to report a school shooting. |
YUP! Perfectly summarized the issue. As I said, admin are the biggest problem in the cell phone equation. |
