A local director at each Governor's School site has direct responsibility for the logistics of the program. Academic-Year Governor's Schools have directors and regional governing boards that provide policy and administration of these schools. Program and site directors at the Summer Residential Governor's Schools along with the specialist in the Virginia Department of Education work together to manage and maintain these programs.

The Virginia Department of Education, regional governing boards, local superintendents, site or program directors, school boards, and advisory committees establish policies for the Governor's Schools. These policies are described in an administrative procedures document for each school. All Governor's Schools annually submit a current administrative procedures document to VDOE.

Time has come to take the control away from the bumbling fools and put it where it belongs in the first place: Regional governing board/advisory committees. I am sure Youngkeun is already working on it.

FCPS doesn't deserve to operate it anylonger.

Nah. No need to relocate - fcps will simply lose control to the regional governing board. They can still send students there.

Maybe the control can be transferred to the regional governing board where it should have been from the beginning in the next month or two and withdraw the appeal. Ha. That would really make the LWNJs cry.

Sure, I wonder where the new campus will be because the current one is owned by FCPS.

What if the opposite happens and TJ drops its governors school status, becomes solely an FCPS endeavor?

Nope https://icare.fairfaxcounty.gov/ffxcare/Datalets/Datalet.aspx?sIndex=2&idx=1

The property is owned by FCPS not the state or any board.

There were 2,500+ applicants rejected so that could potential be a quarter to a half billion dollars in potential damages.

Charming people.

Vindictively trying to bankrupt a school system or school board members? You are (implicitly) defending that?

So cute!

Because Asian people are too smart to work in government bureaucracy and get paid peanuts

Because FCPS prefers black people over Asian people.

Given that TJ is still accepting majority Asian students in the most recent class with the highest rate of admission that clearly isn’t true.

Your hysterics are a great example of why this school is so toxic.

Another example of how dumb the anti-TJ racists are who post on here - the message is above is regarding lack of Asians in the fcps especially the top positions as well as the principals, assistant principals etc. I know it's hard but try to keep up.

Who is not keeping up? It is the pro-TJ racists who are posting about the lack of Asians in FCPS and Fairfax County, requesting quotas, etc.

More toxicity. Seems like you relish it.

I am anti TJ racists. Like the earlier posters who talked about shoes. And other racist tropes.

That sarcasms sailed over your head.

In addition, 20% of the FCPS teachers must be Asian to properly reflect the student population. 20% of the County employees must be Asians to reflect the demographics of the County.
20% of the County contracts and grants must go to Asians and Asian groups. It is not equitable that virtually 0% goes to Asians and Asian groups.
