How far away do you need to be from DC to be safe from a nuclear attack?

Colorado, Chicago, military bases in Texas, Florida space center, places where nuclear weapons are kept. Why worry about something you have no control over. Watch "On the Beach.". We will all be dead or dying in the event of a nuclear war with Russia.

My worstcase scenario worry is that by the end of the year, a few months out after the BA2 spike, some PR firm comes up with some obvious rationalization that we are so messed up with long-covid that the polls would come out better if we just let them drop one.I should write a script and send it to Hollywood.

This. We are out west for spring break, and I had always assumed our here would be safe. Then I realized 1) the majority of bombs are kept in Cheyenne, Wyoming at Warren, 2) the bunker is in Colorado Springs, 3) the bombs are made outside of Denver, etc. We are all screwed.
