When do you think we will have the first school closure in APS?

Is that good enough OP?

Following up that will be private school parents posting that they are soo glad they left APS and their children are thriving.

That part is a win for everyone, except maybe the private school teachers.

It is SUCH A WIN. I hope these people never ever come back.

Guessing you couldn’t pay them to.

Because people disagree with your irrational hysteria and inability to contextualize risk (vs. other common daily risks), you hope they leave the community. APS needs more N95-masked kids of paper salespeople, who moonlight as ventilation experts.

Oh. I thought it was more like people who bailed on APS for greener pastures.

I think what's scaring parents is that the risk for young children is clearly increasing. Sure it's lower than car accidents NOW, when kids have mostly been at home or outside all summer. Now that we're putting 25-30 kids in a room for 6 hours/day, I think many people are a little cautious about what's going to happen given what we've heard from the South that started school earlier and had fewer protections.

+1

They should also head over to the private school forum. I’m sure they will be welcome over there.

I'm just happy the schools are not at quite comfortable occupancy levels. More room for my kids. Bye.

Oh look, the unhinged hater is back.

Shouldn’t you find a new obsession for a new school year?

We are in a different state but have mask mandate and strict protocol and it’s been an absolute disaster. Hundreds and hundreds of kids quarantined everyday. I’m a teacher and I’ve had two students test positive in the 3 weeks we’ve been back at school.

We were open full time in the spring with no issues. This delta variant is completely different beast.

Cool story but why are you posting here if you're in a different state?? Your anecdote means nothing.

I thought it was helpful. Some of us don’t hate teachers.

Which state/area? How are current community covid #s and vaccination rate? Any surveillance testing?

Can you tell us what the strict covid protocols are? What about lunch?

Hopefully our high vaccination rates, masking, and testing will keep our kids in schools.
