Favorite go to meal or snack that keeps you on track with decent eating

Eggs, smoked salmon, sushi (even the grocery store kind)

Half of a hard boiled egg, topped with mustard, a pickle slice, and wrapped with a narrow strip of proscuitto

A cup of chicken broth (soup?) with scallions, a few thinly sliced shiitake mushrooms, and tofu or a few frozen wontons if I feel like it. I just microwave it in a mug. It’s salty enough that it satiates the craving for a snack but actually has very few calories.

I recently discovered flavored rice cakes and brown rice rolls. Also a game changer. Satisfies the crunchy snack craving but very little calories. You can eat like 3-4 of them at a time and its only like 200 calories or less.

Going to have to try this! I was going to say, hard-boiled eggs (remove some of the yolk, but not obsessively) with Trader Joes garlic mustard aoili. So good.

I also like string cheese and Babybels. Laughing Cow with a few pretzel thins or Bagel Chips. Sometimes I toss the latter in a mug of tomato soup and it's like a diet grilled cheese and tomato soup, the cheese melts a bit.

I'll maybe try the PB Fit, but I don't love peanut butter. I do buy the PB Fit to mix with lowfat yogurt that I use to fill and freeze Kong toys for my dog. She is a fan.

My Instacart shopper brought that home when my fav peanut butter was out of stock and I've been ignoring it- what do you eat with it?

My latest afternoon snack is the Cauliflower Egg Frittatas from Trader Joes. They are only 200 calories for 2 and have a good serving of protein and fiber. The cheese really hits the spot when I am craving something rich and salty. I put sriracha and a dollop of tzatziki on top. I eat this around 3:00 and am completely satisfied until dinner at 7:30.

Another random snack that really fills me up- I take 3 of those Deli Thins slices of cheese (Sargento) and spread with a layer of hummus. Wrap each slice around a green apple slice. Its the perfect blend of crunch, savory and sweet.

Lastly, I have been really craving dessert each night and I have been eating half a pint of Halo Top. its about 160 calories and high in protein. Sometimes I had a little blob of peanut butter on top. I find that if I have this, I don't crave red wine or baked goods. (My husband is a big cookie fiend and he often bakes off a batch of chocolate chip cookies after dinner. I can never eat just one.)

Mix in a small amount of water with it and stir until it thickens up - just like regular peanut butter. I eat it by itself or along side greek yogurt. Also spread it on rice cakes. But you could also spread on fruit, celery etc.

Adding tzatziki or PB to foods really increases the calorie count. I wish it didn’t but FYI.
