I like the outdoors I go on hikes and birdwatches

Join a hiking club ( https://www.capitalhikingclub.org/ ) and take a walk on the C&O canal. Spend the whole day out there. Say hi to people as they pass you. Talk to everybody even if you don't judge them to be an immediate dating prospect. Ask someone how long they have been hiking, ask how long to the next water fountain or bathroom.

Go out to dinner as a group with the other members of the club after your hike, casually sit down near someone you would like to know better. Don't act like you are looking for a date, but ask if they might be going on next week's hike. They used to have moonlight hikes to Great Falls, don't know if that is still a thing.

A big saying in the Airport Party world is "Screens are Mean!", so there's hardly anything ever online. It's all about Word of Mouth, People Talking, New Friends Spreading the Word to New Friends. LOL

But Airport Parties are a LOT of fun. You bring suitcases. sometimes with fun decorations, and go around in a group, asking people "Excuse us, do you know where gate so-and-so is?" or "Do you know where gate whatever is?", only you really say "so and so" and "whatever" (not a number) and when people say "What?" or ask for more information, we all say "Never miiinnnd!" and scamper away, boo-hooing and crying crocodile tears. Boo-hoo waaaaahhhh, etc.

Not for everybody but a lot of us love it. Viva Airport Parties, especially now.

Off the thread but after my divorce I didn’t date for two years because of Covid and this weekend I will have my fifth date with a very nice guy. On our fourth date we did have some very serious kissing but I held back from doing anything more but I don’t think I will hold back this weekend. I haven’t had sex in five years and I haven’t had first time sex in 23 years. He doesn’t know that so do I tell him or just see what happens? I’m very fit so I don’t worry about my body but I definitely have performance anxiety.
