Yes, I was about to comment on the other thread that this smacks of CC. This was obviously a very emotional and difficult decision for her, but what is sad to me is she truly believes she is persecuted, when she is the one who has been indoctrinated.

This. I don’t know where she is getting this; my admin have said nothing about race or CRT and I certainly have gotten to forms to “report” teachers who aren’t doing….whatever she thinks we are being ordered to do.

A reminder that Loudoun County went 61% for Biden. Just 37% for Trump. It is a solidly blue county and the board is completely in line with mainstream values for the community.

The people hollering about trans kids and CRT are the hateful bunch. And a fair number of them don’t even live here.

No dog in this fight but you honestly think there isn't a private school that would hire her? If it wasn't so far away from Loudoun, she could get hired tomorrow at the private school that kept Karen Pence employed for 4 years.

Lapsed Catholic here. And Catholic doctrine is not that friendly to LGBTQA. But at least the Pope has been crystal clear that “do unto others” 100% applies to LGBTQA, immigrant, the poor, the mentally ill., etc. “Who am I to judge”? It’s heartening to see the Catholic Church come back into alignment with Jesus’ teachings on this.

A religious private school is where she belongs, presumably with parents who share these ideals and pay for their kid’s education to be religious. But not public and fortunately she recognized that and left.

I agree with your first point and disagree with the second. A ridiculous number of high-level Conservatives who run non-profits, SuperPACs, and lobbying firms live in NOVA. They are running national campaigns against 'illegals', CRT, anti-abortion and the like. Its child's play for them to get mad and do the same in their own backyard. Until two years ago when he was run out - Richard Spencer lived in downtown Alexandria.

Meghan McCain and her husband, the founder of the Federalist, also live in that area.

Jesus' teaching on sexual immorality is clear.

His teaching on interacting with - and treatment of - sinners (sexual sinners, particularly) is also clear ("Go and sin no more.").
