So employees should let their admin know if their colleagues are being discriminatory to students or coworkers. That's no different than any other workplace, and that's not telling staff members they can't speak out--which clearly is permitted, since this lady DID it and quit her job in the process. |
The key words are "quit her job" I doubt she could have spoken up without quitting or being fired. |
If “speaking up” means “refusing official policy to respect student pronouns” then sure she could be fired. Employers have the right to fire employees who won’t follow the policies of their employment. |
