Theres more to her than just books and politics and lawyering

She seems to go all in on what matters and that passion is what people like about her, including myself. Theres been plenty of things that didnt make her rich and its true that have notoriety will make you wealthier. Its easier for everyone to sell everything because you have a name. Id much rather my kid look up to Abrams versus some IG influencer.
She was valedictorian, graduated magna cum laude from Spelman, she studied policy at UT Austin LBJ, and got a JD from Yale. I thought all people from the ivies made money....

Now, Stacey Abrams.

Former Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams now owns two homes in Georgia collectively worth $1.4 million despite having been hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt before her unsuccessful run against Gov. Brian Kemp.

The former candidate was catapulted into the national spotlight during her slugfest 2018 run against Kemp that saw her claim victory for months after the fact.

Since her electoral failure, though, Abrams has made a series of property purchases in DeKalb County that have been scrubbed from the county tax assessor’s website, according to records obtained by Fox News.

Most county tax assessors in the state of Georgia, such as in Abrams' DeKalb County, have a searchable database for property information, but individuals can request to have their information taken offline
.

They make this sounds like a bad thing. She probably doesnt want people to know where she lives- wouldnt that be a safety thing? Im interested to know if this is unusual....

The article sounds slanted, because they refer to an “electoral failure.” That leaves out important details about what happened.

Are we taking Trump to task or Ivanka (who made 100s of millions during her dad’s presidency) or just black people?

Yet again, you’ve got that backwards. It’s *because* we’ve had four (and counting) years of ranting about Republicans and how they make their money, who they’re dating, what clubs they belong to, etc., that we are now returning the favor. Expect to see Democrats under just as much scrutiny as you’ve spent on Republicans. You’re welcome.

It seems that anyone can request to have their address removed from the local government's online database. And yeah, it's definitely a safety issue since she's admitted that she gets death threats from unhinged rightwing nutjobs.

Read her book. She tells readers about her debt and how she got there after law school, and how she was working to get out of debt. She too understands the value of owning a home and property and its ties to sustaining generational wealth.

All the time I spend on the real estate and home improvement forum here in DCUM, one or two homes currently valued or bought in the last 5 years totaling $1.4 million is MC or UMC.

Maybe the real title of this for Fox news fans is "Irritating Black Woman who is tied to voter fraud scandals and recently broke has the nerve to own not one but two home worth $1.4M:

Article should really read:
Probably stolen from charitable work she does since she doesn't really work for a living. Let's investigate or assume she's doing all this voter fraud work to get rich. Where else could she have gotten the money from?

Who does she think she is? And based on the price, why did she move into a white neighborhood instead of with the people she says she's trying to help?

Yea, Black woman buys two homes worth more than $1M and might now be upper middle class. What did she do to get there?

Not at all. Capitalism at work.

Just pointing out that activism pays big...... if you are a Democrat.

Isn’t capitalism the GOP mantra? I still don’t understand why OP’s knickers are in a twist.

NP. I don’t think anyone’s knickers are in a twist. But you can’t deny that Democrats have invited extra scrutiny due to their outrage over exactly the same thing - when a Republican is involved. That’s why Sen. Whitehouse was raked over the coals. It’s called HYPOCRISY. And it will 100% continue to be called out.

I’m not sure how it’s hypocritical for a Democrat to make money? Can you explain?

DP.
Someone above laid it out, really.
She was writing books under a pseudonym. Not much success with sales.
She becomes an activist on the left, changes to her real name, and sales sky rocket.
She is taking advantage of her role as an activist. She was a nobody until she became the fake GA governor.

You really are not worth responding to. She was absolutely a somebody in GA before she ran for Gov but you are really too stupid to know that. $1.4M is not a lot of money for 2 houses. Are you mad that you are poor?

OMG. Seriously. I certainly am not taking a vow of poverty b/c I work for a nonprofit. My friends in GA have been telling me about Stacy Abrams for years. She has been a player in GA politics for a long time. I don't know anyone who works as hard as she does. Just stay mad and jealous.

You need a chill pill. Who are Trump and a Ivanka dating? What clubs do they belong to?

Your dude tried to overthrow the US. He’s indicted now—or his man Alan is. You’re welcome.

You sound divisive and like you watch too much FOX News.

PS: This seems like the biggest troll post ever. I can’t understand why it’s bad fit a woman to have 1.4m worth of houses. That’s how much people here spend on a shirt! 😂 Your organic apples from Whole Foods cost that much. Hahahahaha.

So…she should have taken her books out of circulation? Is that what you're saying? How bizarre.

No. Why did she use a pseudonym to begin with? That all changed after her failed gov. race that she can't admit she lost.
Figured she could cash in on her new activist role.

I feel like this Pp is Exhibit A of our education system’s failure to equip people with critical thinking skills.
