Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
The principal intern/assistant principal, Ms. Snider, will be interim principal. She's great! |
Very lucky. |
Who will be the acting principal at TPMS? |
Does anyone know? |
We were notified acting principal will be Erin Martin who just completed a principal internship at Silver Spring International middle school. Anyone know anything about her? |
| I worked with her at Julius West as an AP. Very, thoughtful person. Really cares about kids. |
I don't know very much, but she seemed pleasant and knowledgeable during the zoom PTSA meetings. I had to email her once last summer and received a prompt and friendly reply. Sorry, never met her in person, since she was only at SSIMS this past year. I think she had been at Julius West before her internship. |
Is she as woke as Taylor or is she normal? |
You know every time you perseverate on typing the word “woke,” you out yourself as an imbecile, right? Just checking. |
Losing DuBois is a real loss for Rustin, but I agree that West is wonderful. |

New appointees today:
|
| 3 principals in 10 years for Glen Haven ES. |
| If our ES has a principal intern, are we more likely to lose our principal in the next few years? Do principals with a principal intern ever stay put? |
Yes, they usually stay put. My kids' schools have had three principal interns, and none of the principals left afterwards. In some schools a current principal would be going to retire anyway, and if that's the plan and if the intern has a successful practicum, then they're a likely candidate for the permanent job, or an acting appointment for a year, depending on the timing. |
That's honestly not that uncommon. |
