Why is Jen Psaki wearing nude color lipstick?

She’s witty and smart and has amazing command of issues. But here we are discussing her lipstick. Yup.

This.

The worst part is that I’m 99% sure OP is a woman. Women spend more times tearing down other women than building them up.

seriously, why is that?

The patriarchy. We are conditioned to do it.

Every single person on this thread saying that she looks old or her makeup isn't right or she needs to go in for a consult for her hair colour or change the way her eyebrows look are victims of the patriarchy which has engrained into our minds that how a woman looks is the most important thing about her and that we must compare ourselves to other women in order to "win." It's a long, hard road to reverse internalised misogyny and it's sad but not surprising that women in their 30s-50s still have such a long way to go.

What a sad thread. I'm actually hoping OP started it just for shts and giggles.

Her makeup wasn't that heavy. Jen's is a less is more approach.

If Kardashians are your point of reference, then perhaps true.

I don't think her makeup has anything to do with anything, but she's wearing a LOT of it -- heavy foundation, thick eyeliner, and a crapton of mascara.

Not me. I just love fashion and beauty products and know what they can do to help every woman improve her appearance.

Oookkkaayy-well her hair color and clothes colors are a mockery of “looking professional”. She looks color blind and awkward.

Unlike you, I’m not a helpless little leaf in the gutter who is “conditioned” to do anything. I have a right to my own opinion, which is that Jens hair color is off.

I wonder why less foundation (Psaki) results in smoother skin and heavy foundation looks so lumpy. I would like coverage but not like this.

I love the nude lipstick look. I can’t stand bright, fake lip colors (or nail colors for that matter!).

Because she has much better skin.

Made it almost 30 days without a new Jen Psaki thread.

She would look like an entirely different person with blonde hair and an upper blepharoplasty.

I cried with happiness the first time I saw Psaki do a press conference. She is competent, intelligent, honest, and looks professional. The prominent women employed by the last Administration were lying, grifting Barbie Dolls (except Birx, who was a flatterer with great scarves). Anyway, Jen Psaki is wearing light pink lipstick that works with her coloring.

She is a professional and that looks good. OP I hope you don’t have girls.
