It looks awful! Like she had no lips. Combine that with her penchant for bold suiting, and it looks really odd. Anyone else notice this?
Jen if you’re reading this, switch out your lipstick! |
She generally looks great. Professional and polished.

I like it.
Can't stand bright lipstick on professional women. It's just doesn't send the right message. She's there to work, not to bring attention to her lips. |
| Because she is there to do a job and deliver a message. She is not there to be a fashion plate. She needs to look polished, but not distracting. I think she actually nails this quite well. It's not easy. |
| I agree with you op but I also agree that otherwise she looks professional and polished. Sometimes people get really stuck on their “look” and maybe she just can’t fathom herself wearing a lipstick with more color. |
| Get your eyes checked, OP. That is NOT nude lipstick in the second picture with the blue dress. And the first picture is actually a nice coral. |
| It's so hard being a woman in this world. |
She’s witty and smart and has amazing command of issues. But here we are discussing her lipstick. Yup. |
| Why do you care ffs…. 😖 |
And just when we got through the day not being reminded of the previous barbie doll liar who held the position. |
She looks healthy, clean and polished. Better than 80% of DC working women. |
| I think she looks lovely and don't think that is nude lipstick. However, I agree that nude lipstick generally looks bad/weird unless you're going for a 60s mod look or something. My lips are pretty bright on their own and it looks incredibly bizarre to make them skin colored. |
Because it is not distracting and bright colors look awful on thin lips unless one is Karlie Klum. And she still look better with less intense colors.
|
This. The worst part is that I’m 99% sure OP is a woman. Women spend more times tearing down other women than building them up. |

I'm a redhead and love Jen Psaki's makeup, esp the lipstick. Lipstick is my one non-negotiable in life but it's really hard to find ones that work with pale skin and red hair - it's so easy to go too pink or too orange or too red. I wish I knew the brands & colors she wears, they look great.
Her hair color could use a bit of an update, at a certain point for redheads, there's a Lucille Ball/Ronald McDonald risk with coloring your hair too bright and she's approaching that tipping point. Obviously, none of this is more important than how smart, funny, and capable she is as spokesperson. |
