I guess they always shower immediately before and after sex. |
It’s not about being OCD or afraid of germs- it’s that my family wears clothes to work, school, work in the yard, live life etc and likely use the public bathroom at some point. All those clothes (undergarments) go in the same hamper. So does the dirty towel I used to clean up the dog food, etc. I then plunge my hands into the hamper, put them in the washer. I then wash my hands before moving on. |
I wash my hands after I sort laundry which requires me to stick my hand in my kids’ socks and underwear to turn them right side out.
Why would Tide pod contents touch your skin? I don’t touch products - I have scoops and containers that pour. I don’t specific wash my hands before touching clean clothes - wet or dry. I wash my hands when cooking, after using the bathroom, doing messy stuff with kids, etc. Because I wash my hands after messy / dirty things, I proceed with subsequent tasks with the assumption my hands are clean. |
This thread has been really eye opening for me. It never would have occurred to me to wash my hands in any of these situations. |
Or just people with kids. Kids are gross. Their dirty laundry is gross. - Mom of 2 boys under 10yr old. |
So you wear your clothes all day...but after you remove them, they become a toxic danger in the hamper? I guess no hugging when they come off the bus because your kids clothes are contaminated from their day? |
No. |
Nope |
Wrong analogy. No, when my kid comes home I do not have him take off his outer garments so I can rub my hands on his underwear and then go prep dinner. If you’re doing that…I guess try to make sure no one finds out about it, because that ish is crazy. |
Is this the thread where I admit that I wear my bra four or five times before I wash it? |
Only if I get soap on my hands.
This is more an issue with dishwasher pods because my ands are usually wet when I load the dishwasher and add the pod. Which means pods stick together and one always breaks open. Never wash my hands before, during of after doing laundry |

There is no need to rub your hands on your kids underwear before wasing either..just so you know. |
What do you move it with, tongs? |
